Black US Delegation Report Back From Zimbabwe Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front 5th Party Congress Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 3:00 PM Sistas’ Place 456 Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn NY New York, the December 12th Movement International Secretariat sent an official delegation to participate in the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) 5th Party Congress which was held in Harare from December 9 – 12, 2009. A Report Back to the Community on the current issues facing Zimbabwe in the national and international realm will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Sistas’ Place Coffee House at 456 Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn NY. The December 12th Movement International Secretariat Delegation representatives are Chairperson Viola Plummer, Attorney Roger Wareham, Colette Pean, and Vernon Verdree. In the spirit of Kwanzaa’s “Kujichagulia” (Self-Determination), the people of Zimbabwe have taken giant steps to determine their political and economic destiny by daring to take control of their land and natural resources. Years of intense fire from the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union, their economic sanctions and negative propaganda, have attempted to undermine the Zimbabwean peoples’ struggle for political and economic independence. These imperial efforts have thus far been unsuccessful. The people of Zimbabwe have withstood this aggression and stand as an example of stiff resistance and African self-determination.
