Greetings all.

As I am sure you know, Mumia Abu-Jamal was a journalist and writer before his conviction for killing a police officer in 1981. He has been in prison continuously since then, following his exposure of the racism and corruption involved in the bombing of the MOVE movement in Philadelphia.

Two documentaries are showing this weekend in London as part of the African Odysseys series:

Let the Fire Burn - The MOVE organisation were considered to be dangerous radicals because, among other things, they grew their own food.  This film documents this extraordinary event in which local Philadelphia residents, including children, were killed.  Many of the bodies were burnt beyond recognition.  Bullet holes were found in the bodies.  Let the Fire Burn tells the story.  Showing with:

Long Distance Revolutionary: A Journey with Mumia Abu-Jamal
