Annual International Locks Conference (AILC) /Expo brings alive the essence of social change, and the benefits of wholistic health  and wellness by  featuring local, regional and national arts
and crafts merchants exhibiting the finest quality hand crafted jewelry, natural body and hair care products, Afrikan artifacts and Indigenous and
cultural fashions, poetry cafe, self-defense and belly dancing workshops; visual art and cultural edutainment, Afrikan/Kuumba marketplace, live musical performances, spoken word, children’s activities, workshops, lectures, cultural fashion
shows and natural hair show and competition.

AILC also features leading experts from the natural wholistic health & natural hair care field, world-renowned scholars, activists, and artists from a myriad of professions who utilize the Expo as an annual autumn family gathering, spiritual renewal, and networking opportunity.

The Annual International Locks Conference: Natural Hair, Health, & Beauty Expo is devoted to upliftment of humanity, education, and motivation; to promote the unencumbered practice of our ancient indigenous
cultural folk art; to promote unity of purpose,  cultural awareness, expand knowledge of natural hair care, aboriginal/Nubian hair care, and natural wellness products, wholistic health, crafts, and entrepreneurship among people of Afrikan descent. The Kuumba Family Organizing Committee and the Hair-ITAGE Society are committed to continuing the tradition of self-determination, raising
consciousness, and liberation.
