In celebration of National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, the Sickle Cell Network in partnership with Tri-State area sickle cell disease organizations will host walks to raise awareness, attention, and fuds to support families and communities affected by sickle cell disease. Simultaneous walks will be held in Bridgeport, CT and Newark, NJ. Philadelphia-Delaware will host its walk Saturday, September 27, 2008. For more information log onto: www.sctpnwalk.org.
