This Pan Africanism & African Renaissance Forum will coincide with the historic visit of about 50 African Presidents to the Washington, the August 2014 centennial celebration of Marcus Garvey (UNIA/ACL) and WADU preparation for the first Pan African Convention in Jamaica in July 2015.
This is forum during the Pan African Movement 114th Anniversary Tribute is dedicated to Baba Elombe Brath and Ambassador Dudley Thompson to advance Africa into a united states of Africa, a Union Government. Brath (recently died), was a co-founder of WADU, also served as one of the most significant leaders in the USA with Kwame Ture and Malcolm Omowale X to fight for African liberation and the unity of Black people with Africa.
Ambassador Dudley Thompson, the first President of WADU and a key architect of the African liberation, independence movement and the OAU/AU (with Nkrumah, Nyerere, Ture, Selassie...) has also called for united states of Africa by 2017, declared after the failed AU Grand Debate in 2007 to create an AU Authority. Baba Dudley who recently died before Brath, had also hope for a united states of Africa to coincide with the celebration of his 100th birthday in 2017.
Finally, we are forging forward with a Marcus Garvey vision launched a 100 years ago to establish a united states of Africa. We have a duty to complete the highest, the most sacred and noblest goals of our Ancestors. A Luta Continua!!!
