This is a brief update and a request for support for our very important mission to Ethiopia as we continue to Harare in 2013 for Pan African victory. The good news is that we are on course on our Pan African mission with Nana Farika departing this weekend to Ethiopia. This is our first mission to Ethiopia during the annual formal AU Summit in Ethiopia which is also focused on the 50th anniversary of the OAU. Make no mistake, this is very important family!
As she departs the USA, we have accomplished several important hurdles which are: 1. (Departure) - WADU purchased a ticket for Nana Farika and other WADU related leaders will depart about 1/15/13; 2. We have established and is maintaining Communications with the AU leaders regarding Diaspora participation in AU/WADU related activities; 3. We are Coordinating with key Pan African and WADU related leaders on the ground in Ethiopia to help achieve our objectives; 4. Major Objectives are Union government of Africa, Citizenship, Diaspora full representation, reparations, economic partnerships, Pan African education…; 5. Minimum Objectives to achieve now in Ethiopia i.e. The Pan African Tribute, Diaspora participation in AU Summit and formalizing WADU in Ethiopia; 6. We are establishing a basic leadership structure & responsibilities for the mission with Nana Farika as the advance Leader with Dr. Desta & Dr. Bennett for AU tribute, participation & AU support); 7. Local Organizers are those like Sister Ijahynah, Brother Kush, and Brother King focusing on the tribute and accommodations in Addis and Shashamane; 8. The Venue of focus is the Selassie University to ensure Diaspora and local Africans can join with WADU and AU leaders; 9. The (Tentative) Program for the January 19, 2013 tribute most likely will headline those like Dr. Jeffries, Dr. Asante, Dr. Garvey, Min. Akbar Muhammad, African Union representatives, Dr. Desta, Nana Farika, Dr. Norma Jackson (Columbia), Bro. Ari Merretazon (NCOBRA), Priest Paul (Shashamane), Bro. Kush, Sis. Ijahyna, Prof. Ford (Addis Univ.), and other leaders (final program about 1/16/13); and 10. Finally and very importantly $ (finance) plan for the mission is in three phases 1. Farika Ticket & travel by 12/30/12, mission cost confirmation by 1/10/12 (Farika with organizing teams in Addis) and final update by 1/15/13.
We are still in need for more financial resources to accomplish our mission. Indeed, Pan Africanists and lovers of African people like you are willing to be more generous and this is the very reason for our advancement. Indeed, we are extremely grateful for your willingness to give (no sacrifice, no victory) as foreign forces attempt to tighten their noose around Africa. This is a signal for us to be more determined to break their colonial grip on African people and we will. Consequently, this proactive mission to Ethiopia may just be one of the more important missions for WADU and to advance Pan Africanism in 2013, and so we need your support.
