On behalf of the Universal African Peoples Organization (UAPO), we would like to extend a hearty thanks to those of you who supported the many educational and political programs we sponsored in 2012. Your attendance and financial contributions are much appreciated and we hope and pray that you continue to support us. In 2012, every month with the exception of October, we held a significant event including commemorating the life and legacies of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, and the Honorable Marcus "Mosiah" Garvey on or near their birthdays. We also maintained our international humanitarian support of Haiti through the St. Louis Committee on Haiti headed by our Haitian comrade, Harold Compere. As an organizational partner within the Coalition Against Police Crimes and Repression, we have held steadfast. This past year, we were blessed to publish two editions of our newspaper, the African News World and began our Urban Gardening Project. We also accomplished our goal of 144 members/supporters for the year 2012 as we march toward a mass movement of 144,000 (UAPO) members/supporters by the year 2015. A month into this new year on January 19. 2013 , we held a very successful Meet and Greet for Lewis Reed, President of the St. Louis Board of Alderman and our candidate for Mayor of the city St. Louis, MO. By the way, for those of you who are residents of St. Louis city, please vote in the upcoming election on Tuesday, March 5. 2013 and encourage family and friends to do likewise. Finally, Saturday, Febuary 16, 2013 in the spirit of Black History Month, we will be hosting a program featuring our youth to be held at 7:00pm at Legagy Bookstore, 5249 Delmar Ave., St. Louis, MO. and a flyer will be forthcoming. Please do not forget to open attachment to review 2012 (UAPO) programs and activities. Liberation In Out Lifetime Zaki Baruti President/General Universal African Peoples Organization
