The World African Diaspora Union (WADU) will meet with Pan African strategic partners in Washington, D.C. during the U.S.-Africa Summit this coming week to  continue pushing the agenda for immediate establishment of  the United States of Africa now postponed indefinitely for an African Union regionally divided Africa. Since the AU launching in 2000, Africans had prioritized a Union Government but this was severely undermined after the 2011 massive attack led by the USA, EU and Saudia on Libya, Africa, leaving Libya and other nations across Africa in chaos. The United States of Africa agenda was the engine for the recent economic advancement of Africa and now been thwarted to accommodate foreign control in the scramble for African resources.
With the vast deployment of foreign troops across Africa, the White House is focused on military, youth and trade, especially AGOA. So far, the AGOA trade agreement has not led to robust growth and similar agreements are pushed by rich nations on Africa for unfair trade agreements with Africa. Ambassador Nelson Ndirangu recently warned that “The United States, for example, threatened African countries that it would terminate the preferential access provided under the Africa Growth Opportunities Act (AGOA) programme…” WADU is urging you to make the United States of Africa agenda the centerpiece for Africa’s security, economic relationships and empowerment in the 21st century and beyond.
WADU will organize strategic Summit briefing and de-briefing sessions at the Umoja House on Sunday August 3, 2014 and the debriefing session at Sankofa on Thursday, August 7, 2014, both at 5:30 p.m. These sessions are to ensure that WADU coordinates with local and global leaders to focus on the most critical issues for action and engagement during and after the U.S.-Africa Summit. You are encouraged to join key activists and leaders in other Summit activities, and to participate in WADU meetings to promote the United States of Africa as the highest priority for all Africans.
