The Ethio-Africa Diaspora Union Millennium Council (Millennium Council) is pleased to announce that it has been successful in brokering negotiations with the University of the West Indies (U.W.I.) to establish a Memorandum of Understanding / Overstanding (M.O.O.) as an associate in hosting joint Rastafari Conferences for the week, August 15th - 22nd 2010 having been in dialog with the U.W.I. Steering Committee for the past four (4) months!

As the Rastafari Communities have developed to be recognized as an Indigenous Culture steps had to be taken to insure that the Intellectual Property Rights of the Rastafari Culture are preserved and it is hopeful that a historic signing off re the M.O.O. can be accomplished during the Conferences with the intent to continue further negotiations afterwards. To this, we give thanks!

The M.C. will be submitting pertinent information from this point onwards and take great pleasure in inviting Delegates throughout the Global Family to take part in our Rastafari Global Conference as we seek to continue the process of unifying the Rastafari Movement into ONE NATION!

The Rastafari Global Conference will be held at the M.C. Office space at the Solomonic All Saints Prep. / College, 20 Mona Road whilst the U.W.I. Conference on Rastafari will be on their premise. With these Conferences happening simultaneously, it augers well the desired outcome for the establishing of a Rastafari National / Global Secretariat that had been on hold from the Rastafari Global Reasoning in Jamaica, July 2003! As such, Members of the Millennium Council will shortly be submitting the outlined Agenda which will indicate the necessary steps that are now needed to establish a solid framework to develop globally. 

We thank you all for your patience and overstanding as this Global Rastafari Conference has finally reached the point for its fruition.
