An initiative started at the Institute of African Studies via a series of meetings under Director Prof Dzodzi Tsikata will be coming to fruition tomorrow.

As such, there will be a ceremony for Africans of the Diaspora to recieve Ghanaian Citizenship at a swearing-in ceremony tomorrow, 28th December 2016 at 2:00PM SHARP! We would be happy if any who are able to come support in the spirit of WEB DuBois, George Padmore, and so many others who repatriated to Africa in the Pan-African tradition!!!
Venue: WEB DU BOIS MEMORIAL CENTRE FOR PAN-AFRICAN CULTURE.
Note the following:
1. Dress code is suggested white.
2. Sitting Arrangement: There will be a designated section for those swearing in and a designated section for the audience.
3. State Protocol and Security will strictly manage this occasion -- The Head of State will give the keynote presentation.
4. Ghana Armed forces band will play Ghana's National Anthem.
5. CNN will be covering the event. For security reasons, individual photography and videography moving around randomly is discouraged.
6. By 4:00 PM the program will end. Immediately following, there will be a procession to Midindi Hotel (a short walk from the DU BOIS CENTRE). At Midindi Hotel, there will be a Thanksgiving Banquet/Dinner in honour of this Historic Occasion of Ghanaian Citizenship bestowed on the Africans of the Diaspora. The banquet will be have an assortment of delicious food for catering to vegetarians and others (meat, fish, etc.).
