"OUR PEOPLE'S VIGOR AND LABOUR CAN BEAR FRUIT ONLY WHEN COMMUNICATIONS NETWORKS ARE AFFORDED THEM" HIM Haile Selassie I.

Millennium Councillors and Observers.

Greetings.

A Statement Condemning The Racist Killings of Blacks in Libya may have been issued by the (Ethiopia-Africa Diaspora Union) Millennium Council, and unfortunately gone largely un-noticed by the 'main-stream' media, the alternative media, and interested individuals.

If that is the case, I am subject to correction, and would be willing to acknowledge such, read it, and, if appropriate, disseminate it.

However, since I can find no reasonable rasponse to my earlier call (April 26) for such a statement, pertaining to Libya in this instance, nor any valid explanation or justification for the non-rasponse, I am using this medium and this occasion to restate my interest, my concern, and my Call.

To be clear, I am not counting the really embarrasingly weak (coming from a group of 'Rastafarian' Black people) public-relations-type bit of unsubtle-avoidance-of-the-subject email sent me by Prophet Greg.

Given that I am still waiting for any useful rasponse to a letter I sent to the Council in 2008, and again in 2009, about matters of even more direct pertinence to the global Rastafari community, I am not really surprised by the apparent inability, or unwillingness, of the Council to show that it (the Council) should be regarded with raspect and relevance.

Therefore, while I am not surprised by this latest 'communications difficulty,' I am nonetheless still disappointed.

Later today, August 28, 2011, the ironically-named Ethiopia-Africa Diaspora Union Millennium Council is scheduled to hold its Annual General Meeting; to elect officers, and to present updates on matters of Repatraition and Reparations,  the Rastafari Trust Fund, and more.

While I am by no means a "Rastafari leader" I do insist that as a "Rastafari Individual & Concerned Observer" I have an unalienable right to think, write, speak, and act to "represent the Community's Cause."  You will have already noticed that the afore-mentioned 2008/2009 letter did attempt to get some reasoning/answers on some of the very matters slated as part of today's agenda.

It is expected that, despite the 'constitutional challenges' that the Council has been obviously facing, you will nevertheless be able to think and speak out as individuals, and/or as a collective.

I am including some videos on the Matter of The Killings of Libyan Blacks which -- especially the first one -- I hope will engage your individual and collective consciences, and inform your words and actions.

"Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted, the indifference of those who should have known better, the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most, that has made it possible for evil to triumph." HIM Haile Selassie I.

"History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people." Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The expected EADUMC Statement should be sent to the Government of Jamaica, Caricom, the African Union, the United Nations, NATO, the International Criminal Court (ICC), and the embassies of the various countries involved in the present situation in Libya.

God and history will remember our judgment. Let Judgement balance Authority and Responsibility.

TaLaWaDada Love, Guidance, and I-tection.

PS: It is my intention to publish my 2008/2009 letter to the EADUMC, in the interest of public awareness; since I am of the opinion that enough time has passed for the Millennium Council to have addressed the issues and questions contained in it.
