On Dec. 17th, 2014, President Obama freed the Cuban 5 and publicly stated that relations between the U.S. and Cuba were going to improve.  One year later, what has really changed?

Has the U.S. blockade been lifted? Can we travel to Cuba without a license? Will McDonald’s and the rest of corporate America establish itself in Cuba? Will Guantanamo be returned to Cuba?

Join New York Cuba Solidarity Project as we hear from our panel of experts on the progression between U.S. and Cuba relations!  We will also be discussing what the solidarity movement can do to support Cuba!

Panelists:
  • A representative from the Cuban Mission to the United Nations.
  • Ana Maria Cardenas-Galindo, IFCO/Pastors for Peace Caravan
  • Sekani Radellant, Venceremos Brigade
  • Frank Velgara, New York Cuba Solidarity Project
Suggested Donation: $5-$10 (no one will be turned away due to lack of funds)
