220px-The_Newburgh_Sting_poster.jpg?width=250In the small community of Newburgh, New York a mysterious businessman infiltrates a local mosque supposedly looking to cultivate business associates. He is in fact working as an informant for the FBI, and orchestrates a sting operation that leads to the arrest of four black men for their involvement in a manufactured terrorism plot.

An official selection of the Tribeca Film Festival and a featured HBO documentary, the Newburgh Sting is a powerful film that highlights the intersection between pervasive post-9/11 government surveillance of Muslims, the historical targeting of black, low-income communities in America.

A critical and timely look at the impact of discriminatory policing and indeed, the value of black lives, CCR invites you to join us for a free screening of the Newburgh Sting on Monday March 30th at the Anthology Film Archives.
