You are invited to attend the inaugural Newark Young Entrepreneurs   (YEA!) Investors Panel on Wednesday, March 30, 5:15 – 8:00 PM at Rutgers Business School-Newark. There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be served.

The Investors Panel is an integral part of our 30-week, after school YEA! program during which a select group of middle and high school students learn about the basics of business ownership and then actually start their own businesses. During the first 20 weeks of the program, the young CEOs attended classes and worked with business mentors who provided them with insight and supported them during preparation of their business plans.

On March 30, the students will “pitch” their businesses to investors in a “shark tank”-like event where they compete for money to help get their businesses off the ground. The students will make six minute presentations to investors who will determine if and how much they will invest.

Networking among students, family members, investors, mentors and invited guests will begin at 5:15 PM with the program starting promptly at 6:00 PM

As someone who has a personal interest in providing valuable learning opportunities to our young people, we hope that you will attend the Investors Panel as our guest. It is our intention to repeat the program beginning in the fall of 2016 and we want to raise the visibility of the program to enhance participation.
