3828853501?profile=originalFebruary 2nd, 2017 will mark 5 years since unarmed 18-year-old Ramarley Graham was killed by the NYPD in his own home, in front of his grandma and little brother. To date, not one officer has been fired or held accountable. On the 5th anniversary of Ramarley’s killing, the ANSWER Coalition is urging everyone to come out and rally with Ramarley's family to demand NYPD Commissioner O’Neill and Mayor de Blasio FIRE Richard Haste and all of the officers responsible for misconduct and abuse

How much longer will Ramarley’s family have to wait for some measure of accountability from the NYPD?

The ANSWER Coalition is also endorsing the campaign for mayor Bill De Blasio to End Broken Windows policing and prosecutions. If the mayor wants to be taken seriously about making NYC a real "sanctuary city" he can start by ending Broken Windows policing which treats minor legal infractions like serious crimes and serves no purpose but to criminalize and oppress our loved ones. Without serious police reform untold numbers of New Yorkers could be swept into Trump's deportation machine based on petty offenses. A press conference announcing a Feb. 11 march will take place tomorrow at 12 noon at City Hall. Info on the moratorium on broken windows campaign can be found here.

See you tomorrow!
