A MAJOR NYC COUNCIL HEARING ON "NYPD GANG POLICING" 

IS GOING DOWN TOMORROW ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13, 2018 

@ CITY HALL ~ THE COPS WILL BE TESTIFYING TO GET MORE 

FUNDS AND POWER & SO WE THE PEOPLE MUST BE THERE TOO!

Here is the plan for Wednesday’s City Hall Rally and Hearing. The email is separated into 3 sections: I. Details, II. Roles, & III. Testimony.

After reading the email, please see INSTRUCTIONS at the bottom to confirm you received it.

DETAILS:

Wednesday, June 13th.

9:00am - RALLY OUTSIDE CITY HALL, SPECIFICALLY BY THE BROADWAY ENTRANCE. Folks please meet here specifically, NOT in front of City Hall steps.

9:30am - 9:40am : HARD STOP OF RALLY. EVERYONE WILL LINE UP TO ENTER City Hall building for HEARING.

(Room: Committee Room)

9:40am - 9:50am : WHILE IN LINE - Check in with Lauren and/or Amrit for communications during hearing. If you are not added to the hearing Signal thread

(opened Tuesday @ 7PM) by then, ask Lauren and/or Amrit add you to it. Lauren and Amrit will ensure we are strategically grouped so that each group has

active Signal communications.

10:00am - Start of Hearing

ROLES TO FILL:

Role 1) “Rebel- Rousing”? (If needed! Who can do it?)

• Point      person: Deshonay (9am - 12:30pm.
• Support:      Amrit. Will also discuss w/ BYP100 members.

Role 2) Giving testimony (Crucial!)

- WHO ELSE WILL DO THIS?

Role 3) Documentation / Media

• Includes      taking photos and recording short video clips on your cell phone
• Point      person: Paula

Role 4) Communicating what is happening inside hearing to people outside (ie social media/email list)

• Point      person: Tag and Deshonay (9am-12pm)
• WHO ELSE CAN      HELP WITH THIS?

TESTIMONY:

For those giving testimony *Please read*

What to expect at hearing:

NYPD / City Council will take up first 1-2 hours.

Public comment/ people giving testimony might start at 1:00pm or 2:00pm earliest.

Expect hearing to last up until 4pm, maybe 5pm. Those giving testimony should be available for the full day just in case.

If you cannot be present but would like someone to read your testimony, please communicate so via this email thread.
