The Arts & Music Present "We Can't Breathe: Voice of the Voiceless" (Spoken Word Poetry & Hip Hop Compilation) Inspired By Michael Brown, Eric Garner, & Tamir Rice
The Arts & Music, national promotional platform for Performing & Creative Artists, have just released their last 'must hear' Digital Release of 2014. "We Can't Breathe: A Voice of the Voiceless," is a collective of powerful, passionate Spoken Word Poetry, fused with the elements of conscious Hip Hop Music.
What many are calling "Much needed therapy and an artistic response, for what we are going through now as a generation and nation," "We Cant Breathe: Voice of the Voiceless," is a compilation of the worlds best talented artists. This instrument of change is inspired by the recent unfortunate events in Ferguson, Missouri, and the unfortunate deaths of Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, and countless others who have died by the hands of those who have taken an oath to serve and protect.
They are all masters of the art of Spoken Word Poetry and Hip Hop music. This project is starring MTV Hip Hop Battle Champion Reignman aka Izzie Fareal, famous Underground Hip Hop Lyricist 'Dama Nilz,' R&B Soulstress Jeanette Berry, and a conscious hip hop blend by popular New York DJ Miranda Maxwell, not to mention the artwork of this project, professionally done by renowned artist "El Stabo." All including a plethora of other poets, musicians, and analysts, are discussing a range of topics stemming from police brutality, racial injustice, racial stereotypes and biases, inequality, media projection, social responsibility, racial profiling, and more.
The marches are meant to raise awareness of double standards, lack of adequate police candidate screening, and insufficient training have resulted in unnecessary killings. Police are not under attack, institutionalized racism is. - Kareem Abdul Jabar
