Hip-Hop Jazz Artist The ZYG 808 looks at the summer ahead as a featured artist on The Phunk Hits 2018 tour and working on his debut album, "The Intro".
Playing four shows in a row is a sign of things to come for The ZYG 808, as this past week was Haley House Bakery on Thursday, Southport on Friday, Dedham Square Coffeehouse on Saturday, and the Hyannis Open Street Festival on Sunday afternoon. "I didn't even bother taking my drums out of Pop's trunk." explained the soon-to-be 15 year-old percussionist and MC.
After officially joining The GroovaLottos last April as both a percussionist and vocalist, as well as the assistant Road Manager, the world of music and life as a musician went from dream to reality. However, last year's The Phunk Hits tour had more room in between dates and was largely contained within the Cape Cod area. This year's tour takes in dates in New York City, the DMV and central New England.
Thursday night at the Haley House Bakery was significant in that it was The ZYG 808's first full-set show completely as a solo artist, without backing players. At this occasion he also debuted his spoken word piece "Fatal Umbratio (F.U.)"
The ZYG 808 is scheduled to be featured at The Phunk Hits 2018 summer concert tour on these dates. New shows are being added regularly:
