THE NEWS AIN'T GOOD!
As usual the television in my bedroom is on all night with the exception of GOD’s Holy Sabbath of Complete REST. And this morning I awoke to the news about the President of Syria hitting his own countrymen with a missile as they stood in a queue waiting to buy bread. The feelings I experienced watching and hearing people yelling out in pain and in horror were awful. What I saw was horrible.
I remember calling on the CREATOR to RETURN to HIS Place to end this death and destruction. Other times I have watched the turmoil all over North Africa, as well as in other parts of the continent and in Gaza, Lebanon, and throughout the Middle East, but nothing has disturbed me so badly as what I saw and heard this morning as I was awaking.
In truth, this mayhem is all over the world. It is like there is a slow moving blanket covering the nations and bringing a wave of chaos and death with it as it glides over the Earth. Instead of flies, locust, fire and brimstone upon Ancient Egypt, it is war, pandemonium, and destruction upon the nations and manifesting their fall.
As always with every morning, I read the Hebrew Scriptures and take notes. Ironically, today continuing in the Book of Jeremiah, I read Jeremiah 24th and 25th Chapters. And immediately I realized what I had seen on the Aljazeera News earlier.
“For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it. And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.” Jeremiah 25:15,16
“And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them. Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you. And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink. For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts. Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth. A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground. Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel.” Jeremiah 25:26 – 34
“And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of the LORD. He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their land is desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger.” Jeremiah 25:37,38
The United States has not seen this devastation and destruction but from what’s written at the mouth of GOD’s Prophet Jeremiah it is not a matter of “Is there a real possibility of this happening”, BUT “How long will it be before this blanket reaches America and other nations?”
You be the judge. Given the signs of the times, it is in the making. And few people ask, “Why is GOD doing this?” My question is, “Why not?”
Look at what mankind has done to HIS once beautiful Earth. HE Created it all – the Heavens and the Earth and all things therein – for HIS PRAISE, GLORY, and for HIS Righteousness Sake, but few people are listening.
If super power nations can drop bombs (with the consent of its peoples) on defenseless nations that flatly refuse to be exploited, why then can’t the CREATOR GOD Judge the peoples HE Created for not living according to HIS Ways of Righteousness in order that there will be peace and tranquility on HIS Earth?
Dooms Day predictions have come, gone, and flopped. They make for exciting news, sales, and movies. However, GOD’s WORD at the mouth of HIS Prophet can be realized even now, and Jeremiah’s prediction being true will leave no room for contemplation and scrutiny.
My people, the news ain’t good!
