Racism Is A Republican Red Herring

The primary strategy for Republicans is racism. Right now the most popular Republican is Donald Trump. Before Trump, Republican racism was subtle. But, when Trump embraced blatant racism, his popularity  sky-rocketed.  The reality is this Republican racism is nothing but a red herring to hide the fact that Republicans offer nothing for the American voters.

Does this Republican racism put food on the table? Does it offer a healthcare plan for the millions that are uninsured? Does it seek to establish a living wage for many laboring to pay for a roof over their head and feeding their families despite a fulltime job? Does this Republican racism care about police killing innocent black men, women and even children?

Besides, what do these racists want? Segregated, schools, housing, and lunch counters? Job promotions based on race instead of merit? Do they want full apartheid?

Well, I don’t think so. I have a higher opinion of my fellow Americans, even the racists. But, it is time to discard the Republican racism red herring and come back to our true American values. The Republican Party has lost its way. Finally, I leave you with this question. “Can a good person be racist?”
