PNC Bank Sponsorship Allows "Every Day Women" To Attend
"Take Back Your Life" Event

PNC Bank provided the Monroe Foundation with tickets to distribute to low-income"everyday" women to attend WVON's "Take Back Your Life" event, held onSaturday, October 30th in Tinley Park.

What makes this important is that the event, priced at $ 60 per person, andwas focused on issues of empowerment for women, are being held often toengage women in workshops, seminars and promote images of empowerment, but seldom provides pricing or offers sponsorships that "empowers"everyday women, particularly African-American women with limitedfinancial resources, to actually attend.

PNC Bank market leaders Paul Labonne, vice president and Community Reinvestment Officer, and Gloria Gayle, branch manger for PNC Bank, 87th & Cottage Grove, are to be commended for providing the Monroe Foundation with ticketsto distribute to low-income women involved in the Monroe Foundation'sP.A.C.T Project (Partnership Assisting Community Transformation).
