I recently stumbled across a fantastic critical evaluation of Occupy Atlanta which I believe needs to be shared. These criticisms can contribute to an important call for Occupy Atlanta to align itself with Atlanta's black radical movement history, rather than with the "old guard" of the civil rights era (Jackson, Lowery, etc.), who are now deeply rooted in the political hierarchies of Atlanta and only contributes to the oppression of the black working class. Occupy Atlanta MUST rediscover Atlanta's black radical tradition, or risk becoming as irrelevant as those members of the black bourgeoisie with whom OA currently seeks affiliation.
