Obama Is Not One of Us

There is an old adage that says, “Show me a man’s friends and associates and I’ll tell you his character.” In other words, birds of a feather flock together. If this is true, then all you black folks who call Barack Obama “our president” as if he’s one of us are woefully misinformed and you are in for a rude awakening. Barack Obama is called the first black president given his father was of African ascent and his mother was of European extraction. (there are others but not officially recognized see http://www.squidoo.com/FiveBlackPresidentsoftheUSA ) He was raised by his maternal grandparents in Hawaii who were white so his experiences were not that of a black boy growing up in the rural South, the Midwest or in an urban environment. He attended Columbia and Harvard two elite Ivy League schools which are beyond the pale for most blacks and whites even today.

After graduating from law school Obama took a job in Chicago as a community organizer on the South side. He eventually joined Trinity United under the pastorate of Jeremiah Wright Jr. Wright is viewed by many as a fiery, politically astute “Afrocentric liberation theology” preacher. The fact is, Wright’s church was affiliated with a white denomination so he couldn’t be too radical and stay there all those years prior to his retiring and remain in good standing with his superiors. Rev. Wright was radical compared to most black clergy but he is not a revolutionary.

Obama’s membership to Trinity and his marriage to Michelle helped his credibility in the black community and aided his launch into politics when he ran for the Illinois state senate. He won consecutive elections in 1996 and 1998. But in 2000 he lost to a real grass roots Chicago icon former Black Panther Party member Bobby Rush when Obama ran against Rush for Rush’s congressional seat. Rush soundly thumped Obama. So next time Obama picked a safer, less “black” opponent when he ran again in 2002 for the Illinois state senate.

In 2003 Obama began testing the waters for higher office and put his hat into the ring for the US Senate seat. To win he had to galvanize a cross section of support and garner a lot of money. Once he decided to run he ran against fifteen other candidates. Long time entrenched Chicago politicians like the Republican senatorial incumbent Peter Fitzgerald and former US Senator Carol Mosley Braun sat out the race (they were probably paid not to run) so Obama easily won against a crowded field. He had big money and connections behind him from the jump. You do not vault into the national spotlight from Chicago without serious backing and support. Once Obama decided to enter the presidential campaign he was taken seriously and embraced not by black folks (most of us had never heard of him) but by “movers and shakers” who decided to go with him even though he was an unknown commodity rather than Republican John McCain who was the pathetic patsy put up by the plutocrats so Obama could win. Obama raised money from little people but the bulk of his funds (he raised almost a billion dollars!) came from colleges, Wall Street, lawyers, the insurance lobby (think Obama Care, they actually wrote the bill) and hedge funds. Is it any wonder Obama ignores our issues? We didn’t grease his palms with enough cash, not that he would be empathetic towards us anyway. Can you understand now why the only time Obama comes into the hood is at election time to solicit votes? I hate to be the one to break this to you but Barack Obama does not relate to being black, black issues or black people! When it came time to select his cabinet the only blacks he chose were well-heeled establishment types like Susan Rice and Eric Holder, good House Negroes used to doing the bidding of Massa (the white corporate establishment).

Susan Rice served the Clinton administration on the National Security Council where she did a job on Africa for corporate and international banking interests. She is also member of the super elite Trilateral Commission. Her father was a governor of the Federal Reserve System so Susan is a second generation House Negro.

Eric Holder served as Deputy Attorney General under Clinton so he knows where the bodies are buried, who to go after and who to leave alone. No need to ask why Holder and the Justice Department have done nothing to prosecute Wall Street or why the US government bum rushed the Occupy Wall Street movement in 2012. Does anyone doubt they crashed the Occupy movement so Obama wouldn’t be embarrassed when the occupiers exposed his boot licking of the one per centers during the 2012 election campaign?!

Obama looked into the cameras and promised change with a straight face. He was so believable his election campaign won a prize for the best PR/Advertising campaign in 2008! “The campaign that drove Barack Obama to victory in the US presidential election has claimed two top awards at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Awards. Nazi propaganda guru Joseph Goebbels would have been so proud. I know many of you think I’m hatin’ on the good brother Obama. Not really. I’m amazed after all the bombs he’s dropped, his expanding drone wars, the invasions, the state supported coups he’s overseen, the fact he’s allowed Wall Street to get off Scott free, that he’s approved the suppression of Habeas Corpus and he’s OKed the capture and killing of US citizens without trial; I’m flabbergasted he has any supporters at all. If George W. Bu$h had done any of these things people would be rioting in the streets, by now.

Lastly Obama was selected and supported by the plutocrats because of his blood relationship with numerous past US presidents and European nobility.
