Denny's And Tom Joyner Foundation Call 'All Aboard for Education' With Inspirational Educators ContestGrand prize winner receives trip for two on 2014 Fantastic VoyageIn celebration of African American culture and a partnership spanning more than a decade, Denny's and Tom Joyner, host of the nationally-syndicated "Tom Joyner Morning Show" radio program, this week launched a nationwide "All Aboard for Education" contest to send one deserving teacher and a guest aboard the Tom Joyner Foundation's 2014 Fantastic Voyage. "Denny's is proud to be a long-time partner of the Tom Joyner Foundation and all it does to help deserving students succeed on every level," said John Miller, Denny's president and chief executive. "Denny's has supported more than 300 students, contributing more than $525,000 to the foundation's programs and scholarship funds since 2002. Our 2014 'All Aboard for Education' voyage is truly 'fantastic'! The contest is a natural extension of Denny's longstanding tradition of celebrating the importance of education while also appreciating those incredible teachers who always go that extra mile to support and inspire us all." Affectionately known as the "Ultimate Party With A Purpose®," the Tom Joyner Foundation Fantastic Voyage is the signature fundraiser benefitting the Tom Joyner Foundation. The foundation provides scholarships that afford diverse academic opportunities to students looking to attend and attending historically black colleges and universities. The annual cruise sets sail from Miami on Sunday, March 16, making stops in Nassau, Bahamas; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Grand Turk Island. "I appreciate all that Denny's has contributed to the Tom Joyner Foundation and I'm excited about their focus on education," stated Tom Joyner, chairman of the Tom Joyner Foundation and host of the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show. "We've all had one teacher that made us excited about learning, and 'All Aboard for Education' is the perfect extension of what the Tom Joyner Foundation works to do for students at historically black colleges and universities."
