3828579246?profile=originalBy Prince R.A.Adegoke Fusigboye | I was designated to represent Concerned Migrants Group(C-M-G)Worldwide on the invitation as one of the speakers from Africa to the First International Tribunal of Conscience of People in Movement (ITCPM) on Sept, 25 - 26, 2015, in New York, United States America, but due to the USA Visa issue I encountered in Nigeria, I could not make the trip. Below is my proposed Speech to the conference. Enjoy your reading.
~
Good morning distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for having me. My name is Prince Adegoke Fusigboye, from Nigeria. I am the International Coordinator for Concerned Migrants Worldwide, formerly known as Concerned Migrants Group(C-M-G)Worldwide. Concerned Migrants Worldwide is a young and vibrant International Non Governmental Organization that is campaigning for the rights of Refugees/Migrants globally. We also serves as a voice for the voiceless by raising public awareness on rights abuses worldwide. I am glad to be here today, not only to be in United States of America but to be at the right place at the right time to be parts of making the History. Migration has begun right from the onset, I stand to be corrected. Even during Abraham, Noah, Jonah to our Lord Jesus Christ in the bible, migrated from their own land to other countries for one reason or the other without seeking for visa or using International Passport or any form of identification documents whatsoever...(Zachariah 8:20-23, Jonah 1:1-17, Joshua 20:2, 1 kings 8:41-43, Isaiah 32:18, 2 kings 8:1, Jeremiah 6:1, Mathew 10:23) E.t.c.

In the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, Article 13... Every one has the rights to leave any Country, including his/her own and to return to his country. While Article 14.. says: Every one has the rights to seek and to enjoy in other Countries asylum from persecution. On the other hand, The United States of America Declaration of Independence stated that-: "All men/women are created equal, endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness". If all the aforementioned Charters and the short story are anything to go by, then, Migration is not a CRIME. In a nut shell, there are no illegal aliens, only Human Beings and must be treated with dignity. Human Rights have no borders.

According to UN report-: Every 5 persons on Earth makes less than one dollar (1$) a day. And that, there are over 800 Millions hungry people in the world, most of them new generation and children. Recently, another reports stated that the numbers of Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs) increases yearly in the world, more than 60 Millions refugees were in various international camps, more than half of these figure are children. This reminds me the high numbers of Internal Displaced Persons in Nigeria on daily basis, they scattered across the country, some are in neighboring borders in Niger Republic, Cameroon and Republic of Chad. As I speak about 2,500 Internal Displaced Persons are in camp in Benin City, Edo-State, South-Southern Nigeria, all of them children. These young Nigerians are victims in their homeland due to the increase attack in North-Eastern Nigeria by the Islamic Sect, the Boko Haram. This insurgency have been going on for six (6) years till date. There are contradicting figures in the number of death in the media but statistic put it at about 15,700 while about 300 schools were destroyed, leaving the children to no access to quality Education. Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) confirmed that 600 teachers were dead while 9,000 others were displaced. According to Mr Adeogun, the former United Nations war crime prosecutor, Nigeria was ranked third in the number of Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the world (about 1.5 Millions, about the size of Qatar in terms of population). Although, this trend is not peculiar to Nigeria alone, more than 15,000 Internal Displaced Persons mostly mother and children are camped in Central African Republic, in Somalia, South Sudan and other parts of Africa as well in other parts of the world.
~
These Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs) needs urgent assistance from well-being individuals and numerous Organizations to keep them alive because the plight of the affected people have worsened. Concerned is not just for concerned sake, Concerned is all about how to end this phenomenon. There are talents everywhere in Africa but how to harness this talents is Africa problems. The main basic Human need is oxygen after that is food, food is life, if food is out of poverty, definitely poverty ends. African leaders are power hungry, African leaders are power greedy, people are hungry, people are angry, poverty, unemployment, frustration, lack of opportunities, bad government, insecurity and social-economics factors are some of the reasons forcing people to emigrate to a conducive environment for a better living. Some ran away from Religious and Ethnic wars while some escaped from being persecuted. There is no threat to security other than poverty. Idle hands, they says is devil's workshop, these jobless and hungry people on the streets can easily be bought over by terrorist, by giving them meager amount of money, food, providing shelter, brain wash them for recruitment, once they have access to bomb grenades and sophisticated weapons, they are ready to kill innocent people without no good reasons.
~
Migrants crisis is a wake up call for African leaders, so, migrants death across Mediterranean seas must be stopped. African leaders must convene a coalition governments to stop the flow of migrants to Europe. There are lots to do for Africans by their leaders, they must make Africa a viable continent for Africans to live. Power is for the sake of the people but in Africa, power is for the sake of power. Politically United Africa was once a cause championed by the Late Pres. Kwame Nkuruma of Ghana. But then, that was in the sixties. I can bet he wouldn't continue with such a project, if he were to be alive today. The situation at his time was that which gave no room for a second thought on the issue. It was an atmosphere influenced much by the excitement of colonial independence across the continent. His visionary politics, no doubt, endeared him and his fellow Pan African leaders to the hearts of North African icons--King Idris of Libya, Anwar Sadat of Egypt and King Hassan II of Morocco.
`
To reduce the influx of migrants to Europe, I hereby call on Western leaders to compel African leaders to embark on sustainable developmental projects that will impact the lives of common man. These must includes-: Investing greatly in Agriculture for local consumption at reasonable price and for exportation, Creation of jobs, Invest in constant electricity power supply for industrial growth, also for preservation of farm produce, and for other domestic purposes. Youth and Women empowerment program, Building of strong institutions that shall be managed by strong men, Skill acquisition and Capacity building programs, Primary health care systems, Construction of durable roads Networks, Good transportation systems, Revive public schools and make Education free and compulsory at all levels, this will drastically reduces the increase of child labor and high rate of illiteracy.
`
The migrants influx into European territories can as well be reduce to the minimum size, although, it cannot be totally eradicated, I advice the European leaders to trace the origin, and proffers solution, because, you cannot treat a disease without diagnose the problems, not until, and not until they tackle the circumstances surrounding the motive of people that embark on such suicide journey on the high seas. Once they heed this advice, I can assure them that Africans will henceforth, be going to Europe and America for holidays and back to Africa through legal means because, Africa continent would have been better developed by then, the issue of the so-called illegal migration, according to them, would be a thing of the past, but if Europe leaders failed to do the needful, migrants will continue to find their ways to Europe by whatever means possible.
`
Kindly permit me to dwell more on African leaders because, I am an African, I so much love Africa and particularly concerned about the ugly face of the continent. Africans have not been having true good leaders, they are Africans greatest enemies, they are rulers and not leaders, they are dictators. They have bashed the hope and aspiration of average common man. I am entitle to my own opinion. The leadership crisis in Africa is one of the factors that causes influx of Africans to foreign lands Some took refuge across Africa, while some scattered in other parts of the world. With the birth of International Criminal Court (ICC), which some of them are signatories to, and the newly constituted International Tribunal of Conscience of People in Movement (ITCPM), the fear of this courts is the beginning of wisdom for African leaders. Africans have no access to basic social amenities, people are living in abject poverty, trying to survive under two dollars (2$) per day. Nigerian Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo said and I quote: "about 110,000,000 Nigerians are living in abject poverty and penury (about 3 times population of South Africa). In Africa, corruption has became a cancer-worm that have eaten deep into our Economy. High profile people, political appointees, elected or selected political officials engage themselves in massive fraud and corruption, the judiciary was so weak, corrupt and vulnerable. Law enforcement Agents were as well corrupt, they should bear it in mind that, there is always be a day of reckoning and you are going to give account of actions and in-actions while in power. African leaders lays hands and starch away Billions of Africans Common Wealth in Foreign Banks, living large and building empire all over the world, seeking foreign medical treatments, leaving Africans hospitals to mere clinic consultancy and, I begin to wonder, can't they utilize this huge money to develop Africa. Again, can't the West boldly confront them of their wrong doing and discourage them from ruin their Continent? How many white men's money in Africa Banks. There were Black monies everywhere in foreign Banks, all looted funds must be traced and return back to Africa, whoever behind this money must be punished.
`
Twenty Eight (28) current African leaders are sit tight leaders, they even prefer to die on power, they are major enemies of Africa, despite their selfish interest and ambition, they have failed in their capacity to bring meaningful developments to their respective countries. This sit tight syndrome is a poverty of the mind, even though they have money, they perpetuate themselves in power against all odds, amending the country's constitutions at will. May be you don't know, Six of the African Presidents succeeded their fathers, these includes: Central African Republic, Congo DRC, Gabon, Morocco, Swaziland and Togo. This trend was not peculiar to Africa alone, it happen in other parts of the world. African Union have long lost the moral ground to discuss the issue at the yearly African Union summit. By definition, the role of Traditional Rulers and Religious leaders is to do the preaching and stay out of politics. Where democracy is being observed in Africa, their leaders have failed to deliver dividends of democracy to their people. They only enjoy being in power. Africa is a continent where any charlatan can rise to any level in a democratic set up. They are not answerable to anybody and people fears to ask questions. Democracy in Africa is a Democracy of anointing and that of AK-47. Politicians in Africa will never accept the outcome of an election result even if the election was believe to be free and open. They either challenge the result in court or turns violence. Democracy is too expensive in the world, the right person that have people's interest at heart may not get there due to financial constraint while the rich and powerful ones buy their ways in.  However, "power corrupt, absolute power corrupt absolutely". Burundi, Rwanda, Burkina Faso etc... are case studies respectively. In Nigeria, former President Olusegun Obasanjo tried in 2007 to run for third terms but His ambition was shut down by legislatures and people. Can this sit tight mentality be allowed in developed countries? Some African leaders have mortgage the future of Africa to the West and made people to suffer. Africa has what it takes to develop itself. The continent is far, far behind the world. In 21st Century, Africa still busy constructing roads Networks. Wild spread of under develop Nations in Africa is a disease, people make America what it is. So, I called on the brightest Africans in diaspora, this is the high time to look inward to contribute meaningful ideas to the development of our great continent such as-: resources bilateral developments for the betterment of Africans. I am very optimistic that you can turn Africa to Eldorado. But will the external forces and their African collaborators allow this beautiful ideas and vision see the light of the day? If the answer is NO, then, Africa will stay till eternity without any meaningful developments. I expect the United Nations Scribe, Ban ki Moon on behalf of United Nations to please do more for Africa by ensuring that African leaders promote good governance, uphold the rule of laws and respect for Human Rights, initiating good policies that will positively touching lives and transforming destinies. Colonialism works effectively but I won't subscribe to some calls from parts of Africa for the re-colonization of Africa by the West due to the failure of our Leaders to proffers solutions as it comes. Instead of me, I will suggest a special conference where the issues on how Africa can best be put back on track for sustainable developments be discussed. Democracy in Africa will never produce the right person because the right person may not have money to run for any election. Democracy can work in Africa only if we have good leaders.
`
I can be every where but I cannot be every where same time to give news reports on migrants/refugees updates. I wish I could be every where if I get fund from numerous individuals and corporate Organizations to make such trip because, at world borders, a lot of thing happen there but not all are well reported. We are doing our best to report it in full measures. I was fortunate to visit Morocco in Northern parts of Africa, other countries in that region includes: Tunisia, Algeria, Libya and Egypt. Morocco is a beautiful country, a favorite holiday destination for tourist, so, I can authoritatively report my experience in that parts of Maghreb region. Apart from Casablanca Hotel Farah terror attack in 2003, the Casablanca (Sidi moumen) internet cafe bombing of 2007 and the tourist-laden square of Jema el Fna in Marrakesh in 2011, the country is peaceful, and it's a Semi-Europe. Rabat is the sit of power where a great numbers of sub-Sahara Africa migrants resides, some are in city of Tangier, Casablanca and other towns. Some of these migrants came on scholarship to study while majority uses the country as a transit point to Europe by whatever means possible. Apart from sub-Sahara Africans, other foreign Nationals uses same route as transit point. Both the documented and undocumented migrants by one way other, contributed greatly to the Economics development of Morocco. Despite jobs restriction policy, migrants majorly depended on monies sent to them by friends and families. Racism and hostility runs rampant in that parts of world, the authority's disrespectful for Human Rights, especially against sub-Sahara Africans black is nothing to write home about while other colors enjoy freedom of movement even without documents. It has almost become a daily headline in the global Newspapers about the growing numbers of death cases of some migrants in foreign lands, discrimination galore, as well as violations of their rights by security operatives of their host countries under the guise of imposing new immigration laws. Concerned Migrants Worldwide is most concerned of these incidences. This is an issue that deserves urgent attention in order to saves lives and restore dignity to migrants. As the saying goes:"A stitch in time saves nine".   http://no-racism.net/article/3179/
`
The fear of attacks discouraged documented/undocumented migrants from marrying their Morocco spouses. Whenever the authority decides to raid undocumented migrants, at around 4.00 AM when people are still snoring in the early hour of the day, Morocco police operatives will stormed migrants homes in Takadoum, Rabat and other locations of migrants blacks, forcing the doors open, made arrests and steals whatever they can lays their hands on. These arrested migrants, at times numbering about 500 or more were being deported to Algeria border without food, water or means of survival. This raiding is perpetual and the authority enjoy doing it because they get compensated by European Union. Many lives have lost in the struggle of going to Europe by lands and seas. The Spanish civil guardians were not left out of this criminal blood letting acts, they respond by firing live rubber bullet at would-be migrants trying to cross to Spain from Morocco, which often resulted to either death or deformation of would-be migrants. The lucky ones get across to the refugee camps in either Ceuta or Melilla (the two Spanish enclave Cities in Morocco) while those that could not make the trip suffered in the hands of both Spanish civil guardian and Morocco military personnel. At times, it takes Morocco police officials three weeks from prison to prisons before finally deported those arrested at the Spanish border to no man's land between Morocco and Algeria. Yet, without any means of survival. Thanks for extending the invitation to me, it's an opportunity to seeking justice for those that suffered severe Human Rights violations in the hands of both Spanish and Morocco authorities. Human Rights are each and every one's personal property, therefore, nobody can dash us our property, Human Right is my fundamental Right. Immigration is a global issue and must be handle in a more sensitive and compassionate way, Arrested immigrants have the right and are indeed presumed to be innocent until proven guilty by a competent court of law. And in the event of conviction, are entitle to decent and humane handling in transit in conformity with the International Declaration of Human Rights as well as treatment that conforms with human decency. I have pictures and facts to back my claims. I have a case pending at the Office of United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva which I want this Tribunal to help follow up to a logical conclusion."Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere". http://fmlnminnesota.blogspot.com.ng/2009_01_26_archive.html
`
The horrible experiences in Morocco was not different from that of Tunisia, Algeria, Libya and Egypt respectively. Countless numbers of migrants have lost their lives to the struggle of reaching the promise lands by seas and lands, for those that succeeded, some countries refuses their entry, sending them back is another issue, leaving them dead on the high sea is another issue too. Those countries should be held responsible for the death of would-be migrants on the high seas. According to Pope Francis, He said and I quote:"whoever closes their doors to migrants should seek forgiveness from God". Good statement from Pope, but Pope Francis should endeavor to visit Africa, probably during Africa Union (AU) yearly Summit to address African leaders on how not to steal Africa money but to use it to develop and create enabling environment for their citizenry.

Instances of horrible cases in Morocco.
`
Mr Osarumwese David Asemota, (a.k.a 2Pac) age, 28 years was one of dead migrants in Morocco in February 29th, 2008. He was among 512 irregular migrants deported to Algeria border. The young man met his untimely death while trying to fight his way back to his place in the Capital City, Rabat. He was attacked by mafianic Moroccans, robbed, molested and beaten at his mercy until he wasn't fit enough to confront the survival battle any longer, so he fell into the cold hands of death. Many migrants have lost their lives to similar attack in the past while nothing happen afterward.
`
In the days leading up to 9th International Human Rights Day commencing from Dec, 17 - 21, 2008, which coincide with 60th Anniversary of Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), and as parts of their eyes services to impress the European Union, Morocco police authority, on Dec, 12, 2008, stormed the forest at Sid-Mafa in Oujda, about 32 deportees migrants were re-arrested and their tents were set ablaze. In the district of Sidi-Othman in Casablanca environs, another 49 migrants were also arrested including 7 children (5 babies under 2 years old and 2 others are between 5 and 6 weeks old) living with their mother, while on the 22/12/2008, these people were deported to Algeria/Morocco border without food, clean water or other means of survival.
`
On Thursday, July 2, 2009, large numbers of recognized refugees holders of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Status staged a peaceful protest demanding their refugees rights including resettlement in a third country because there are no opportunities for integration in Morocco. At the protest ground in front of UNHCR building in Rabat, Morocco police authority in their large numbers disrupted the protest, flogged the refugees including women and children, five refugees out of those arrested were convicted in Morocco Kangaroo Court, they spent one month in Prison and also paid 500 Dirhams (50 Euros) each.

`
Finally, due to persistence pressures from the Coalition of Local, National and International Human Rights Activists and Human Rights Defenders over the continue migrants/refugees rights abuses in Morocco. On Thursday, January 2nd, 2014, Morocco government as a matter of urgency, reformed her immigration policy, instructed her Internal Affair Ministry to issue residence permit to all undocumented migrants/refugees in her country, this exercise, to Concerned Migrants Migrants Group(C- M-G)Worldwide, is to pacify the irregular migrants/refugees that remains in Morocco over the past killings of their colleagues on the high seas and lands by Morocco military border control agency and their police counterparts. The Morocco government see no evil on those killings and do no evil to bring those security agents to book. This is nothing other than Genocide being committed by Morocco government. The United Nations Ex Scribe, Mr Koffi Annan said and I quote: "Genocide begins with the killing of a man- not for what he has done, but because of who he is". Regulation of papers have reduces tension on both the Morocco government and the migrants/refugees. The authority have since stopped issuing the residence permit on December 31st, 2014 same year while the paper is subject to renewal yearly.
