Volt_-_Sidebar_-_web_version02Main.jpg

Today President Obama visited a U.S. auto plant that makes the battery-poweredChevrolet Volt. Some analysts think the Volt could revitalize the struggling American auto industry with its high-tech battery component and environmentally friendly power source.

However, what is not known to the American public or the world is that the Volt's lead designer is Mr. Jelani Aliyu, a Nigerian. In 2007, General Motors brought Mr. Aliyu to New York, and invited the African Sun Times Publisher to a dinner hosted for Mr. Aliyu and other minority stars with the General Motors. Now that the concept car is no longer a concept but a reality, we say congratulations to Jelani Aliyu, who by the way is from Sokoto State in Nigeria. Our 2007 article Mr. Aliyu is here. more

Well my wife and I are so-called African-Americans (are slaves to the U.S. Congress)according to Atty. Robert Brock). We tried getting our invention manufactured even in racist USA and were denied. And we tried searching an African country but, was unsuccessful before 1995. Maybe, since Pres. Obama is the 8th Black President, its a chance for this young man not born in racist America be 'accepted'.
  • It is important that you get to know this young man and celebrate his achievements and recognize his commitment to Nigeria and Africa. He is an engineer. He is not a manufacturer, a banker or an industrialist. He is a master at what he does.He designs cars. Just that. And, he is not a master of what he is not. Build a car company for this master designer to design cars for.

Watch the video and appreciate the this young man
    Celebrate what's possible.
    Build him a car company!!!

Why didn't he take this knowledge and technology to Nigeria. Afrika is the only continent that hasn't produced its own automotive vehicle, Why? it has all of the necessary natural resources to do so. RThat's where he should be taking this knowledge. Baba Olatunji
