Governor Northam is owed an apology

What a colossal mistake Democratic and black leaders have made again. They should be celebrating Virginia’s Governor Ralph Northam’s transformation from being a racist to the side of justice and equality. I am sure there are many other former racists who have seen the light. We should be welcoming such a change instead of ostracizing them for their past mistakes. Do Christians attack St. Paul for his persecution of Christians as Saul before he saw the light?

I am black and an activist. One of my key motivations is to make  apathetic and evil people see the light.  It is a cause for celebration to make converts. Are we going to persecute all converts from racism instead of forgiving and welcoming them? I think all the Democratic presidential candidates and black leaders who demanded the governor’s resignation owe him an apology. They are doing the movement for justice  and equality considerable harm. Our enemies must be elated by this action.

Don't you think it makes a difference if the apology is sincere?  How do we know that he really means that he is sorry, or if he is just saying that he is?  Is he really a convert from racism?
