Food For Thought

From The RampartsJunious Ricardo StantonFood For ThoughtProjection: attributing one own traits, attitudes or faults to others. - Dictionary of PsychologyThe reaction by the Obama administration to North Korea’s launch of a satellite borders on psychosis given all the satellites the US, its’ allies and supposed adversaries have currently orbiting the planet. I suspect the US conniptions about North Korean launching a satellite using an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) is nothing more than the psychological projection of white people’s values, attitudes and motives onto the North Koreans. The US propaganda apparatus calls North Korean a “rogue state”, they are supposedly part of Bu$h’s famous “Axis of Evil”. But the truth is the North Koreans have not invaded sovereign nations nor have their missiles or military been used to kill innocent men, women and children. The US on the other hand is using unmanned drone aircraft, manned jets, helicopter gun-ships as well as covert ops to destabilize countries like Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and now Pakistan. Who is the rogue state? The US “shock and awe” bombardment of Baghdad and other Iraqi provinces in 2003 that killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis and their ongoing occupation is a war crime; especially now that it is clear Iraq posed no threat whatsoever to anyone. Where is the clamor for George W Bu$h, Rumsfeld, Rice, Cheney, Wolfowitz and the NeoCons to be tried as war criminals?Historically behavior such is this is the norm for these psychopaths. During WWII General Dwight D. Eisenhower ordered the US air corps to drop tons of ordnance on German cities as opposed to legitimate military targets. He deliberately killed thousands of innocent civilians. Keep in mind the US dropped two atomic bombs on two Japanese cities (not military targets) killing hundreds of thousands of innocent Japanese. The US is using depleted uranium ordnance in Iraq! North Korean has done nothing like that. In recent years North Korean has done nothing to indicate they are a hostile threat to the US despite being demonized by George W Bu$h..Yet the US warfare state and the military industrial complex are always trying to conjure up another bogey man or threat somewhere, anywhere, to justify their existence, their bloated budgets and their imperialist neo-colonial ambitions. Was all the media hoopla about the Korean satellite launch a diversion to take people’s minds off of the economic collapse we are experiencing? Or was it a ploy to ramp up more military spending? Will the Obama administration use this to make themselves appear tough or will this be another exercise in propaganda futility. All the Obama administration did was run to the United Nations after North Korean thumbed its nose at their protestations of the pending launch and fired their rocket anyway. First the US said the launch was a failure, then they were forced to revise their assessment and admit North Korean fired the rocket successfully. To make matters worse after Japan, South Korea and the US made an issue of it, the UN took no decisive action. Now the matter seems to have blown over. Now the US wants to negotiate with the North Koreans about their nuclear program. Does the US believe the North Koreans think like they do, that they have global domination goals?* * *After the North Korea incident the US confronted the issue of Somalian “pirates”. I have long suspected the US would use the so called “piracy” situation in Somalia as a pretext to up their campaign for an AmeriKKKan military presence on Africa soil. Africom, the US African military command is currently headquartered in Europe. No African nation will allow the US to base Africom within their territorial jurisdiction. Good for the African leaders! But with a US ship being “attacked” and its’ captain kidnaped, the US became directly involved sending a ship and Navy Seals to recuse the boat and free the captain; according to US media. The piracy story was front and center last week. But there are aspects of the “piracy” issue the US media is not telling us. I saw a video on a conscious African centered Internet site by a Somali artist called K’Naan http://livinginblack.ning.com/video/somali-pirates The young brother shared some very interesting information about what is happening off the coast of Somalia. It seems the West is dumping toxic waste in the Indian Ocean and it is impacting the environment. Somalis who have a weak or no central government, thanks to the US sponsored proxy invasion by Ethiopia, took it upon themselves to address the issue by patrolling the waters off their shores, confronting the culprits, demanding they stop and pay a “fine” for polluting the waters. Lo and behold a few days later an article in a newspaper out of the United Kingdom, The Independent verified what K’Naan said and sang about in the video I saw last week. “In 1991, the government of Somalia collapsed. Its nine million people have been teetering on starvation ever since – and the ugliest forces in the Western world have seen this as a great opportunity to steal the country's food supply and dump our nuclear waste in their seas. Yes: nuclear waste. As soon as the government was gone, mysterious European ships started appearing off the coast of Somalia, dumping vast barrels into the ocean. The coastal population began to sicken. At first they suffered strange rashes, nausea and malformed babies. Then, after the 2005 tsunami, hundreds of the dumped and leaking barrels washed up on shore. People began to suffer from radiation sickness, and more than 300 died. Ahmedou Ould-Abdallah, the UN envoy to Somalia, tells me: ‘Somebody is dumping nuclear material here. There is also lead, and heavy metals such as cadmium and mercury – you name it.’ Much of it can be traced back to European hospitals and factories, who seem to be passing it on to the Italian mafia to ‘dispose’ of cheaply. When I asked Mr Ould-Abdallah what European governments were doing about it, he said with a sigh: ‘Nothing. There has been no clean-up, no compensation, and no prevention.’” Johann Hari: You are being lied to about pirates www.independent.co.uk/opinion/commentators/johann-hari/johann-hari-you-are-being-lied-to-about-pirates-1225817.htmlThe article goes on to reveal the Europeans are also Bogarting the Somalis fishing areas. “More than $300m-worth of tuna, shrimp, and lobster are being stolen every year by illegal trawlers. The local fishermen are now starving. Mohammed Hussein, a fisherman in the town of Marka 100km south of Mogadishu, told Reuters: ‘If nothing is done, there soon won't be much fish left in our coastal waters.’ This is the context in which the ‘pirates’ have emerged. Somalian fishermen took speedboats to try to dissuade the dumpers and trawlers, or at least levy a ‘tax’ on them. They call themselves the Volunteer Coastguard of Somalia – and ordinary Somalis agree. The independent Somalian news site WardheerNews found 70 per cent ‘strongly supported the piracy as a form of national defence’” ibidIt appears the Europeans and their AmeriKKKa cousins are engaging in a bit of psychological projection when they call the Somalis who are merely defending their coasts against toxic nuclear dumping and illegal trawling by whites, “pirates”. It is the Europeans who are involved in illegal and immoral conduct. But as Malcolm X said they flipped the script and made the victim the criminal and the criminal the victim. They’re attempting to flip the script on both the Somalis and the North Koreans. Obviously the white boys are pulling their same ol’ same ol’ flip the script con game. When you stop and think about it, am I telling you anything you don’t already know?Food for thought.-30-
