REGARDING RANOULE TATUM

26th District (South Side): Democratic Rep. Lovana "Lou" Jones says she's tired and eager to retire, but she doesn't want to step aside until the right person comes along to replace her. That doesn't inspire confidence she'll serve constituents with much vigor as she heads into her 23rd year in the legislature. Perhaps with a few more years of seasoning, Ranoule Tatum could be that person. 

WHEN CHICAGO COMMITTEEMEN OF 26th DISTRICT MEET ON MAY 14th, 2011 "They should know that Ranoule Tatum has indeed got the additional 'seasoning' that The Tribune Editorial spoke about. Ranoule Tatum has more than anyone else earned the right to be selected to fill the vacancy of Will Burns for State Representative of the 26th District, for he has been a consistent voice in the community and has never stopped running for the people through every election cycle. When Will Burns was in a tight race with local businessman Kenny Johnson, with the public backing of Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr, candidate Ranoule Tatum withdrew and his supporters provded the votes needed for Will Burns to become State Representative. It would be politically criminal to rob Ranoule Tatum of this moment. He provided the votes for Burns and the committeemen now would right to now provide the votes for Tatum."
