We are proud of you, President Obama and will help to work for you. Mitt Romney seemed like a decent man even if I did not agree with most of his policies. I hope the country comes together and I know you will try your best to make this happen like you did in your first term. I hope you please remember the following

1) You have tried your hardest to meet the other side half way your first term. They have to meet you half way too and no media outlet was saying this last night. It cannot just be you making all the effort and concessions

2) Black people did not vote for you just because you are black, just like white people did not vote for Mc Cain just because he was white back in 2008. Of course, some people did this, but if you had been Michael Steele or Clarence Thomas with the beliefs they have, I would not have voted for you. I voted for you because you have a sound approach that will benefit most of the country if given the time to implement it.

3) Represent everyone, including the poor. I only heard talk about the middle class or rich from both sides and I understand why, but please represent the poor too. They may not vote as much, but they deserve solid representation and consideration.

4) You are the President and deserve respect. I have never recalled a president that has been so disrespected in all my life and I know some of that has to do with fear and race related issues. I think it is ok to call a few people out when they are traveling this road. Call them out in love of course but it needs to be acknowledged. Again, very few media outlets want to talk about this and it is the big elephant in the room.

5) When I looked at the T.V. I was in awe of the beautiful diversity on the screen. I saw European Americans, African Americans, differently abled Americans, Asian American, Latinos, and Arab Americans, young, old, Native, Indian- Americans and LGBT Americans. It was truly a reflection of our country and that was beautiful and made me proud to vote for Obama. In the end, we are all Americans and it is wonderful to acknowledge that. Furthermore, a lot of my white brothers and sisters voted for you too so I disagree that you completely lost the white vote as so many said on T.V.

6) Last, I know things are going to be tough but I have hope, faith, love for my fellow humans and know we can surmount any mountain or obstacles. Stay safe, lead boldly and know that a lot of people are hurting out there and depending on all our leaders to lead this country forward.
