As you know, Emmett Till was murdered at a time when the lives of black males, young and old were not highly regarded, and the rights of black Americans were nearly nonexistent. Unfortunately, the lessons the world learned back then are the lessons we must once again learn today. America, Is history officially repeating itself?

+ Both Trayvon and Emmett were African-American teenagers who left home and never came back.

+ Both of their deaths are forcing us to talk about the unwritten racial codes that still exist today.

We, Till family members, Emmett Till Legacy Foundation (ETLF) and others are standing up with the Martin Family for justice that Emmett Till and the Till family will never receive.

Our petition is asking for all civic, faith and community leaders to take action now. We are asking each to include young people in high impact discussions that will result in solutions regarding Racism, Racial Profiling and Injustice and the effect these issues, oppressive laws, attitudes and systems have on each of our communities and youth today.

Unfortunately, 17 year old Trayvon Martin's death was a wake up call for many of our young people. They now are ready to listen, want to learn and have a voice in what happens next.

Let's make this campaign a symbol for justice and a rallying cry for real change.
