Sport as a model for team work, which also serves as a simulation of war. To be a fan of a given team is to participate vicariously in the battles and victories of your chosen military style and to perceive yourself as one of the conquering horde; particularly in football, basketball, baseball and boxing. The feeling of winning in war without the related fear, bloodshed and death!
