Concerning the future of the world and your place in the world: What's your greatest fear, concern and apprehension about the future?

My greatest fear about the future is that our children will continue to not know Thyself, not Love Thyself and be unable to Save Thyselves. My greatest fear is that our children will continue their addiction to the "tranquilizing drug of gradualism." (MLK - i have a dream).

"We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind america of the fierce urgency of Now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children."

Just as we have children born as crack babies (addicted the crack cocain), born alcoholics, and born hyperactive, we also have children, over the past 50 years since the dream speech was made, who are addicted to the american nightmare that has been packaged and propagandized as the "american dream". Much of the false packaging and propagandizing of the "amercan dream" for children of Afrikan Descent can be attributed to the sterilization for the dream speech and Dr. King’s legacy of activism, as well as the truth of american history as opposed to the truth of Ourstory.

My greatest fear is that our children will not sit at the foot of our elders, as the Afrikan Proverb suggest they do, to be properly educated about america’s treatment of People of Afrikan Descent and the proactive behaviors needed from our children to be fully prepared to defend themselves physically, emotionally, spiritually and intellectually. My fear is that our children will continue to trust that racist like wisconsin State Senator glenn grothman, arkansas State Rep. Jon hubbard, reverend pat buchanan can be relied upon to reconnect them to their true African Heritage. My greatest fear is no one will share with our children the words of Martin Luther King, Jr., that said, "The Negro (Afrikan People) must always guard against the danger of becoming ashamed of himself and his past. There is much in the heritage of the Negro that each of us can be proud of. ...We must teach every Negro (Afrikan) child that rejection of heritage means loss of cultural roots, and [that] people who have no past have no future."

My greatest fear is that our children will permanently loss their connection to their Afrikan Roots, as they have apparently done over the over 40-50 years. My greatest fear is that our children will continue to be vulnerable to the trickery of american propaganda that retards their cultural sensitivity and Afrikan Ingenuity, which are major keys to their obtainment of Self Actualization and our "unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness". My greatest fear is for the welfare of our children and for the "hope unborn (that) had died", as James Weldon Johnson admonished. My greatest fear is that our children will never Know Thyself, to Love Thyself, to Save Thyselves.

May you know Raha, Anasa, & Makadara (Peace, Prosperity, & God-Power) through shared love with Afrikan People.

      Very well said!! I agree

    • A word of caution.

      Our fears are not real.

Our fears have not basis in reality and yet we often relate to our fears as it they are real.

      Fear is:

      FALSE

      EVIDENCE

      ABOUT

      REALITY

In a perfect word our fears are not real... I'm taking a guess but I would say 99% of the world have some sort of fear.  I accept my fear and I keep positive action and faith in my GOD.

  • Europe

I fear that no food stores are being kept internationally to the extent they were in the past, as Global Warming that is ocurring with frightful storms and droughts are surely what we should be attending to - and also building sea walls and barriers (as the London Thames) in vulnerable towns etc in the event of rise in sea-levels predicted

    • We should all keep an emergency supply of can food and water.

  • Chicago-Midwest

that marshal law will be established in america and the people having to take sides amongest each other.

  • I fear Obama losing the U.S. General Election.

    • Papua

I fear Israel attack on Iran and how the remaining world will react.
