HOTEP FAMILY...FOR ME...I SEE WHAT A NEGRO CAN DO WHEN GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY....HE IS A PUPPET FOR THE PEOPLE WHO MADE SURE THAT DURING THIS TIME IN THE WORLD THAT A BLACK FACE WOULD INVIGORATE THOSE OF HIS RACE TO STAND UP AND VOTE AND SHOW THE WORLD THAT WE CARE...IN RETURN...NOTHING OF GREAT SIGNIFICANCE HAS HAPPENED FOR THE AFRIKAN RACE..IF HE WANTED TO EVER GET MY SUPPORT A REPARATIONS BILL WOULD HAVE BEEN PASSED OR CAN BE WHILE HE IS IN OFFICE. I think it's important to understand Obama being elected president was symbolic and has nothing to do with justice or equality. It's no surprise that black people are suffering more than ever in America. Our lives will change only when we stop participating in our own demise . We must stop participating in a system that is dysfunctional for us functional for the establishment. Brother Marcus and brother Malcolm would turn over in their graves if they could see how we have moved so far away from the appropriate philosophy that is needed for us to become a free and independent people. how long will we continue to follow the destructive psychology of the America dream. The one major thing I've learned is that no matter who's in the white house being black in America will keep you in the dog house. hotep
Peace and blessings family. I just say that we have to move forward in unity and strength. Obama is just a human just like us. He has been selected by many people. It is not about Obama it is about you. How do we merge our overstandings with the energies of our people? Be about solutions not always reflecting the negatives. We spend entirely too much time on what is not instead of developing what is. Obama is just a piece of the African Humanity Consciousness of the world. Everybody knows that the original humanity originate in our Mother Land . The question today is what we are going to do to bring our people back to their righteous global position.
I pray that the ASPAN elders learn and evaluate the Obama phenomena and further it for the betterment of African people worldwide. The Obama phenomena energized the youth and students with hope and vision. Many whites came to Obama because of their children. Learn from the positives and move forward.
As a veteran Pan-Africnaist organizer, Black Consciousness exponent and Black power activists who has been involved with non-African progressives and Non-Black revolutionary ethties in the economic justice and social peace local, national and global movements in Southern Africa and North America asserted that Barack Obama and his allies in the Democratic Party reformist have learnt more from our struggles in the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's and 1990's that produced the Non-Aligned Movement led by Kamwe Nkrumah etc and the World Social Forum that is beign led by the likes of Dennis Brutus fighting the World Bank and International Monetary Fund across color, class, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation lines.
Change is a PERMANENT POLITICAL ORGANIZATION PROCESS of cultural conscientization and political education that produced the likes of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Huey P. Newton Kwame Ture, Steve Biko and goes as far back as 1619 when Africans were forced intosalvery in Jamestown, Virginia and when the Dutch settler-colonialsit landed in Azania to LAND DISPOSSES African people!
Since 1992 individuals like Ron Daniels and many others created community organiZational altermative strategies that borrowed from the All African Peoples Revolutionary Party (AAPRP) for students and youth activists to follow what Kawme Ture and many of us where challenging COLLEGE EDUCATED folks, including whites, to read about the POLITICAL ECONOMIY OF CAPITALISM AT HOME AND IMPERIALISM ABROAD, especially WARS!
The Barack Obama campaign had the money, tools and access to ESTABLISHMENT and MAINSTREAM MEDIA that is denied to PAN-AFRICANIST in the DIASPORA and MOTHERLAND!
What is usable is NOW HOW TO PUT PRESSURE ON THE BARACK OBAMA PRESIDENCY so that IT CANNOT BE CAPTURED by the RIGHTWING FACTIONS IN THE DEAMOCRATIC PARTY AND US and GLOBAL RULING CLASS EXPLOITERS!
We need YOUNG PEOPLE as ACTIVISTS and NEW COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS who will challenge the REACTIONARY and RIGHTWING inside and outside the American and Global Establishemnt.
This is just the begining! Haiti must be alloowed to have President Aristide back as twice democratically elected.

I have applied a multi-pronged approach to rapidly build a volunteer base for The Better Detroit Youth Movement that consists of three primary components: 1) grassroots / streets-based initiatives; 2) live events; and 3) technology . . .
By utilizing these three elements in synchronicity and then outreaching them to various targets starting with media and tricking down to the streets, we've managed to grow over 100 volunteers in about a half-year and impact the lives of thousands of Detroit children and teens . . .
The other variable is to find good people who value the vision, build an efficient operation, arrive at sound, strong strategies, and execute flawlessly . . .
