Neither! My question is How different are the African Union compared to Pan Africanism? I believe we must have Pan Africanism prior to the African Union. Pan Africanism is Unity and we have a large number of countries to participate or believe.

I would like to be included in some of these discussions, from time to time.

I agree, Pan Africanism has always existed, just pushed around during colonial invasions and domination. Have you read in the Libraries of the African Kingdoms Federation? There are over 800 Kingdoms and many, many, more Chiefdoms and Queendoms, federated and working on plans to eradicate poverty on the continent. Check out the Project VII Phoenix Plan at www.african-kingdoms-federation.com and see if there is value in what has been set forth. Please post your comments, after your review and study. All researchers welcomed, as well as historians.

      Sincerely,

    • The elephant is still in the room. Does you Pan African vision includes Arabs in Nothern Africa?

    • Papua

Yes. If Northern Africa believe and make action for the better of Africa and Africans and because of location. No, if Northern Africans or Arabs feel their loyalty is to Middle East or Europe. Considering the Trek across the Sub Saharan and the lack of communication and trade I say no.

    • Let's push the envelope.

      Four declarative questions for us:

      1. Is the AU a Pan-Africanist union or is it a union of states on the African continent?

      2. What's Pan-Africanism?

      3. Who is an African?

      4. Who are the the North African Arabs?

•Addendum: What's meant by "Africa Unite"? Does it mean that the nations on the continent must unite or does it mean that Black people must unite?

Nyerere, that giant Pan Afrikanist only co equal to Kwame Nkrumah, advised on his 75th birthday anniversary (1997) that the next generation of afrikan leaders coming after his, should concentrate on uniting Afrika SOUTH OF SAHARA, THE SUB SAHARAN AFRIKA because according to him (Nyerere) North afrika was-for reasons of history, geography, cultural and language, part of north western Europe (it being its 2nd Mexico!) and part of Middle east, and that, Afrika south of sahara was on its own..!
Pse googleSearch The article Nyerere's last advise to Black Afrika by Chinweizu.

    • Hmmm! Finally, there's a crack in the wall - it seem NO ONE wants to question the role of the Arabs in Africa, AU and paradox of Pan-Africanism.

It seems that Chinweizu is the only person who dare to question the role of the Arabs (our favorite conquerors) in a "Pan Africanist" Africa.
