Can Black children in America compete with the best and brightest children from all over the world?  If not, whose fault is it?

Question of the week is inspired by The Black Star Project:

Can Black children in America compete with the best and brightest children from all over the world?  If not, it is our fault. Join The Black Star Project to help guarantee that Black children will thrive academically and that the Black community will prosper economically.  Join us to plan the Saturday University and to view "Two Million Minutes" and find out what Black students will have to compete against in the future.

We will control the teachers.
We will control the curriculum.
We will control the spirits of the children.
We will control the rigor of study.

We need 500 tutors, site coordinators, recruiters of tutors, administrators, organizers and workers for Chicago's Saturday University.  We need 50 churches, schools, park districts and community centers to host a Saturday University for 2 hours a Saturday for 6 months. This is the only idea that will be discussed at our meeting. While this process is being controlled by Black people, people of all races may volunteer in this process to help educate Black children.  Children of all races are invited to participate in The Black Star Project's Saturday University.

If you have any questions or if you would like to volunteer for the Saturday University, please call The Black Star Project at 773.285.9600.

Yes our children can compete with anyone in the world. I wonder if others can compete with african children if they were uprooted from their homeland and forced to accept these lies called education. ? would they want too. rejecting  another culture  and its way of learning is another form of rebellion. hotep beautiful black children continue the struggle.

YES, Our Children Can Compete!  We have Many thousands of Very Bright Students in ALL of our States; What we DO NOT Have is;  A Level Working Filed and A Group of National and International Corporations that are Willing, and able to Work with our Communities to Assure that these Brightest African American Students are Provided Equal opportunities to Compete.  --------WE have A Very Few National Corporations in America, and we need thousands More to do Just That: Provide Equitable and Proportionate Opportunities for our Brightest and even our Average Students to Work in the GLOBAL Market Centers.

  • Yes, yes, yes and yes, a thousand times yes, yes and yes!

There is no question that African American children, actual descendants of the American slave, can compete and succeed in head to head academic competition for intelligence against all other races in this world. We were bred to be the best. If you were not the strongest physically, mentally, and spiritually, you were not bred to produce offspring to work the machinery of this capitalistic society. Not only were we field hands, we were doctors, accountants, engineers, managers, distributors, and educators.

Look at our pedigree, in less than one generation, the literacy rate among African Americans reached astounding levels that has not been seen before or since in world history. In less than 35 years, there were tens of thousands of African American engineers inventing and modernizing the lives of citizens of this society.

In the history of the United States, the African American has been an active participant in high technology pushing the limits of new technology. We invented the articulating whaling harpoon. Out of our lions come the "Real McCoy." We miniaturized the cell phone and made it a  flip phone. The super soaker, an amazing hydraulic wonder and a toy, was invented by an African American.

One of the first computer crimes was initiated by a Black man who tried to recoup lost funds on financial transactions for a major American bank. He was told to get back to work and later demoted for "playing" at work. His garbage collection routine recovered millions of dollars a day off of the calculation errors of financial transactions. So after being demoted and later fired, he kept the money and disappeared in the diaspora.

An African American scientist demonstrated the confluence of gravitational fields by heavenly bodies. This discovery and exact calculations made travel to the moon possible and probably. That is why NASA beat the Soviet Union which had more resources to the moon and space station development in outer space. The demonstration of the confluence of gravitational fields was made into a toy called "Spirograph."

Let us not talk about the inventions of Dr. Charles Drew. And the thousands of patents that George Washington Carver received for sweet potato and peanut utilization. Or our work in the 1940's in steroid and other complex hydrocarbon development.

In conclusion, the answer to the question is not yes but, we will beat the pants off them because we who have nothing but our imagination and high mental acuity can as own Creator said "Let there be light. And there was light." We call into existence physical manifestations of pure mental energy because we rarely have equal physical resources.

All of these skills were produced through a birthing process that included intergenerational familiy education, the church, and local small business. You will see that I did not mention all governmental agency in the equation.

As the Honorable Marcus Garvey stated so eloquently Africa for Africans, those at home and those abroad. The Bible says that the rejected stone shall become the cornerstone of the true foundation.

No one has been more rejected than African American slaves and their descendants. Other Africans sold us into slavery. And yet, we are more prosperous than all of the rest of the African diaspora, something to consider.

Our children are nothing more than a reflection of us.  We are the ones who have dropped the ball and lowered the bar. Our children are not failing as much as we are failing our children !
