I am baffled by these recent posts against the BUY BLACK campaign. I see no substance supporting these statements, only conjecture that seems racist against something that we should not even need to tell ourselves to do but have to because we don't do it. If black people were buying black the way they should there would be no need for BUY BLACK. If we supported each other like we should this campaign would not exist nor would bbnomics.com. It is because the need is there that someone took the time and put energy into creating it FOR the community. I don't understand bashing it using the term "chitlin" as if it is somehow an inferior program because it serves the economic needs of the black community.
Is it perfect? Absolutely not. What programs do we have that are perfect? While I appreciate the NBCC organizing trade with Colombia we have serious work that needs to be done here are most black people are too comfortable and relaxed to get out there and do it. We complain about a system and spend most of our time and energy supporting it. Maybe I don't get it. Maybe I'm wrong. But there's not one thing listed that BUY BLACK is doing that we can look at objectively as a reason to point the finger at BUY BLACK in general. Not one. Which leads me to think that its like you're saying BUY BLACK is "TOO BLACK". Like its so black its comical or something. I don't even see a problem stated here. No problem and no proposed solution. My reply to this post is about 100 times longer than the post itself taking a stab at something that exists because of our failures. After it says "Continued after the jump" there's an advertisement from AdChoices; a "smart ad" that uses the user's internet searching to show them products they might want to buy. Europeans have all kinds of tools and methods to get everyone to buy their products. What the hell is wrong with having some of our own. And maybe BUY BLACK is not seasoned to your taste. But why the hell does it have to be?
Lastly, in order for most of our programs to get better they have to be supported. And if you're not supporting them, and you're not using your influence to get other people to support them, then you're hurting them by using your influence to get other people not to support them. Why? Doesn't even make sense. And we need to start holding each other accountable for using our influence to hinder someone who is actually out there trying to help. Why are you trying to hinder BUY BLACK??
Now, browse the this site and note the scores of articles promoting and supporting the BUY BLACK CAMPAIGN
I say: One is doomed that mediocrity when he fails to be authentic and unwilling to examine himself. It is said: "...an un-examine life is a life not worth living..."
P.S. I have no answers for you. There nothing I am able to make clear for you.
Are you upset that there are "scores of articles" promoting Buy Black?? Are you mad that others are using your platform to promote something they or someone else is doing? Is this simply your soap box and you don't want to share? I don't see what ANY other article has to do with this one.
You speak of mediocrity while admitting that Buy Black promotes excellence. I see these posts against Buy Black as not excellent but mediocre. "Where's the beef?" We're supposed to bring our own? What gives? You come of as one who has a grudge because you don't like someone. This sounds personal like it has nothing to do with the actual Buy Black campaign or its intended purposes. This sounds like if there wasn't a member on this site named BuyBlack2012 you wouldn't be saying anything. That's what it sounds like. And by not giving any details or putting effort into stating the problem for the public you are creating an impression of yourself that is less than complimentary. You seem fine with that and if so then cool but its unnecessary.
You ask: "Are you upset that there are "scores of articles" promoting Buy Black??,"
Are you upset that this site - TheBlackList - promotes the Buy Black Campaign?
Therefore my premise, and it is only a premise, is bigger than the Buy Black campaign.
You said: "Question everything? I am. I'm questioning you".
I say: Questioning my makes no difference. What matters is questioning the ideas, ideals and beliefs by which one lives one's life. The opportunity is to do the work to get get the answer for oneself and not to be defined by someone else's answer.
what's clear about it? I don't even see a description of what Buy Black even is for readers to understand what's going on or why they should care. I'm annoyed and offended by this not only because I support Buy Black, but because there's not a stated reason not to. It's just negativity against an positive effort.

How will you be clear about what's not clear?
YOU could assume the responsibility for making it clear. Create clarity by yourself. Or you could accept that their is something about which you are not clear and then make a request/help/assistance in creating clarity.
It is not my intention to change your point-of-view. I do not intend that you view the world through my descriptions, explanations and understanding but that you begin to question you you accept as your view of the way things appear to be or occur to be.
Stop. Stop trying to speak circles around it. The point of communication is understanding. You're being irresponsible. It is not my responsibility to make what YOU are saying/not saying clear when you are barely saying anything at all. Questions could be asked if there was thoughtful commentary giving enough reasons and a view into your thinking of WHY. But we didn't get that. We basically got a glorified titled that's non-impressive. You don't even seem to be informed enough about Buy Black to truly have an opinion much less use this website as a platform to blast it without explanation. Oh yes, we are clear. We're clear about your intent, but decidedly unclear on WHY... what has contributed to it. What you are saying is clear but WHY you are saying it is anything but. You were in fact asked for help/assistance in creating clarity but your response is "I have no answers". So I could ask.... I DID ask.... and still nothing because it seems like there's nothing to give. It seems like there's no logical or intelligent reasons behind attacking Buy Black. We want answers because you're not a pastor and we are not here to blindly follow you while the advertisement plate gets passed around. What clarity I will create is this.
I SUPPORT BUY BLACK. I'm not asking you to change my mind. I am responding in defense of Buy Black because there is nothing here to even remotely challenge my perspective on the matter. And if you are here merely to state your own opinion then you should do so by saying why YOU don't like it, why YOU wont support it, and why YOU think that matters to the rest of us. Otherwise, I am baffled why you would be stating such an opinion and work against positive efforts in our community. We have enough going against us. We don't need to cannibalize our own efforts.

Where is the rest of this Kwasi? What basis are you making this statement?
That is all there is - a clear statement, opinion, POV and premise.
