My opinion: Christmas is a Journey's End. The opportunity Is for me to learn and master what has been accomplished and gotten along the way such that at journey's end my life as a Gift will Make A Difference for the Marys and Josephs and their family and all mankind. ~Kwasi #sophic

Short (I wanted to read more) but nevertheless important reflections on Christmas, Christ and the God's decision to come to Earth to unwed, teenage parents. It's such perfect irony because many of our young people today, some as young as 13, are single parents raising children. Children raising children. If you have never been in that situation, it's hard to imagine that ever happening. However, if you follow the Christ story, that birth in the manger was just the beginning. Your current situation does not determine your outcome; that's just where you started. So village people, let us offer our support to our younger generation (many in our own families) and help raise up some awesome Black people!
Thanks, C. Lynn, for taking time to reflect. Please accept my INSIGHT inspired by your response. My insight: reclaim the power of "I" - (the self). I is first person in language - and everything. The power to make a difference - living my example, in speaking and living begins with me - I, not you. This is Authenticity. Consider, in your response above, using the pronoun I in place of the pronoun you. Try it, please. ~Kwasi
