Whatever is good and laudable about my people or our people is good and laudable about me. And, whatever seems to be wrong and unworthy about my people or our people is wrong and unworthy about me. I am my people. When I point to all that seems wrong and unworthy about my people or our people it will do me good to exorcise the finger pointing back at me. All is well with me because all is well with my people or our people. When it seems that my people or our have fallen short, I get to see where I have fallen short - I am my people or our people. To make right what seems to be wrong with my people, I must discover and make whole where I have fallen short, and then all will be well with my people or our people. I am my people. I am our people. ~Kwasi

Thanks for posting this.
I am not the same as every Black person. Everything that affects every Black person affects me in some way, though. Actually, everything that affects anyone affects me in some way, and vice versa.
The more we put positive energy out into the world, the more we benefit everyone. We need to have more of this community spirit. This is one reason why I think it's so important to observe and promote Kwanzaa.
Zhana, thanks for have the courage to engage in this inquiry.

However, WE has never done and will never do anything that I AM not doing. WE can never BE who I AM not being,
What is IMPORTANT is what I AM and who I AM being. AM I fulfilling what I say WE is necessary or AM I just pointing fingers at THEM?
UNLESS I AM ENGAGED WHAT'S LEFT IS THEM - ME POINTING FINGERS, BEING SEPARATE.
TO THINE (my) OWNSELF BE TRUE AND...... (or) A chain (WE) is as strong as each link (as I am strong)
BUT, who says that I AM that strong?
each link.
Stop seeing what's in other's eye and each see what in our own eyes and my people will be fine.
Happy kwanzaa everyone i do agree that whatever is wrong with my brothers and sister is certainly affecting us all but i do think while it's great to reinforce the positive we must also focus on the negative things that affect our lives and community. If not? how do we change the negative things that are happening to us.there are things that are wrong with us that will never change unless we adnit they exist. there are so many of us who live in a cesspool of hell and don't have a clue how we got their. We must recognize our faults and i know we can turn them into positives. Lets begin this new year by not letting anyone define us no more being define by color or race. I am one with the creator but i am also human'i am all things. hotep
This is so true. Thank you for posting this. This is one of the things I have emphasized in my Black Success audios. We have to be real and tell the truth about the way things are. That's the only way we can solve our problems.
Check out this one on Why Positive Thinking Can Be a Negative Thing. Of course, there is a need for positivity.
