I have a problem with this "Black Lives Matter" as a mantra, for it really says nothing new, nor anything that empowers black people themselves. Even though it is well intended, it reflects for me, the deep state of confusion that black people in America are in, just as we walk around using the symbol of surrender as a means of protest, it is dis-empowering. When we raised our fists in the air and said "Black Power," we were saying more than simply our lives mattered and we were not speaking to our enemy, but rather to ourselves, that was self-empowering. Just to simply say that "Black lives matter" does not speak to black people, it does not empower us, it is more of a plea to our enemies to recognize us in some way, to place a value on our lives, which they have always done. All lives matter, but to whom and for what is the question. Black lives have always mattered to America, as slaves, as colonial subjects, as front-line troops in their imperial wars, to fill their prisons, build their roads, clean their houses, and to wipe their asses.

We need to get back to what matters for us and that it is self-determination, "Black Power" is the only thing that should matter to black people, self-identity as a people. Today, due to our assimilation into our enemy's society and thinking, we lack real identity, many of our children are racially ignorant and gender confused, many young black men walk around with their pants down and their butts exposed dressed in Gay apparel. There is no future for black people in America under the current circumstances, we have drifted far away from the course of our liberation and are wandering in the wilderness. Of course black lives have always mattered, the problem is that black people have to recognize and act like we do, to ourselves. We need to drill that into the heads of these young black men who are running around killing other blacks for a buck, or whatever, get it in the head of black females running around trying to look as white as possible. Until we do this, we continuously send the message that blackness does not matter, that we still want to be white or anything other than black.
