That's an individualistic argument.  Power is connected to a group.  It is not nebulous.  Are you following the overt reclamation/resurgence of White Power in this country?  There are lessons there.

Are you or were you active in the Black Power Movement?  It has never received the recognition it deserves - of its existence or legacy.  A big part of the problem is leaders of the Civil Rights Movement have colluded with media to rewrite history and claim all Black activism as its own.  They refer to Black Power icons - Malcolm X, Garvey, Muhammad Ali - as civil rights icons.  I am devoting 2017 to lifting up the Black Power Movement and its activists.  What about you?

  • The White dominant race will never give descendants of Slaves power in this "Good Ol' U.S. of A.!

Actually, we have no chance of rising above this oppression, misery, and racial profiling (Deuteronomy 28th Chapter).  The Black masses and Black celebs, sports figures, and businessmen have to realize this and strive to establish a Black Wall Street where Blacks can be a power to reckon with, or our children for generations to come haven't a chance to rise above this subjugation and second-class citizenship.

    • Notice, you are not speaking to the topic above. However< “How can anyone of African descent be worshiping the same tool used to uselessly murder their ancestors?” http://j.mp/2hvqvOi

    • I was addressing:  "Black Power is going nowhere real fas, it is really driving in neutral."

I didn't see the link above until now.

What I hear being raised up today is Pan-Afrikanism. Perhaps we should take a serious look, embrace, and build on it. Family, are there others of us here, who have seen this shift in our focus?
    • I certainly agree with you, because this USofA has no future for descendants of Slaves.  Blacks must visit Ghana, Uganda, Ethiopia, South Africa, and Kenya.  Jordan is not in Africa, but it welcomes investment and is a wonderful place to live!!!  Africa has the potential to feed the world.  Don't wait for other nations to fulfill their dreams in Africa while Blacks stay in another man's hate-filled country suffering destitution, oppression, and racism.  This makes no sense.

Complacency is destroying Black Peoples the world over!  I only caution people to be aware of corruption, especially in Kenya and in Nigeria where I have visited.

Ghana and South Africa (Cape Town and Durban) were awesome.  America is not the best place on Earth for Blacks, and it's high time our people venture out and visit other places for emigration!

Two points for the African American community. It is my understanding that Liberia welcomes all of African heritage. What does everyone think about that? It is also my understanding that Black people in South Africa are leaving for Australia to get away from the violence of South Africa.
