At the African National Women's Organization, not only do we believe in economic independence, we practice it. DeColonaise: A Revolution for Hair and Bodyis the primary economic development project of our organization. It launched in January and has seen steady growth, since then. We take pride in knowing that we are funding our own work with 50% of the profits going toward ANWO and the other 50% going back into the brand.
The next stage of our project is centered on expanding the brand and its products. This includes getting a proper website, invest in new product development and enhance our marketing. Although we have sales, we want to avoid using that profit, as it takes away from order fulfilment and ANWO projects.
Therefore, we are asking folks to support our Indiegogo campaign to raise $10,000by the middle of July 2017. This will give us the capacity to professionalize our process and put dollars into creating a dynamic brand worthy of African and other colonized people.
