Meditation is a WAY of LIfe in terms PRIVATE FAITH EXPRESSED BY PUBLIC WORKS FOR ECONOMIC JUSTICE AND SOCIAL PEACE in our daily lives!
Belief in God must be a DAILY WAY OF LIFE! Spirituality is ethical, moral and value-oriented combination with one's economic policies, social and human rights of all people and politics of liberation from all forms of oppresion! God is not abstract therefore how we share wealth and undermine poverty is a reflection of CONSISTENCY in our spiritual beliefs beyond Friday, Saturday or Sunday religious worship and quoting scriptures.
Leadership is a permanent obligation to people who are eager and willing to work for a living wage with benefits that include access to quality education and health care rather than depended on charity-be it faith-based or secular philanthropy. A leadership puts its people first like Muwalimi Julius Nyerere who earned no more anaual salary than a non-tenured univisersity lecturer when he was President because the average Tanzanian teaching salary was not conspicuosly and obscenely higher than the janitor or cafeteria worker at the University of Tanzania! Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana etc, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Steve Biko etc!
Leadership in its universal spiritual sense in general and in African communal cooperative empowerment agendas before and since the ancient days of Khemet, Mesophotamia, Abysssinia, Kush, Ethiopia to the present has been a FUNCTION of advavcing economic justice and social peace for those least recognized but marginalized in our communities and sociaties.
The rise and fall of African empires has been for advanced and betrayal of our people by a SELF-CENTRED and SELF-GLORIFYING leadership we have that has more in common with with religious, economic and political beliefs and interests of African people in general and the exploited and oppressed global majority!
Ancient and current spiritual leaders also advanced economic interests of the poor and challened without any collaboration with the SYSTEM that legitimized and public institutional oppression and organized private exploitation.
The factual history of Moshe ( Moses) and (Issa) Jesus plains shoves they challenge the state under Pharoa in Egypt and Ceasar's Roamn imperialism in Palestine.
When CLASS division became so acute in ancient KHEMET etc because the majority of the ppopulation was poor and others in bondage-SPRITUAL LEADERSHIP became bankrupt and RELIGION was used to enslave citizens and subjects.
When a RELIGIOUS LEADERSHIP is overwhelmed by MATERIAL POSSESSION and seek GLORIFICATION by its own followership in order to accomodate itself to and collaborate with INSTITUTIONAL PUBLIC INJUSTICES and ORGANIZATIONAL PRIVATE EXPLOITATION in the name of "politics as as citizens" and " business as entrepreneurships" we end with BLACK EMPIRES that are parasitical to poor and marginalized Africans at home and Diaspora and we are no different from Arabs, Asians and Europeans!
Today we live in the 21st century when informational technology and scientific achievement has given the human race and Africans in particular, with God's blessing, access to stop hunger, poverty, and prevent ignorance and disease!
We have a religious leadership that seeks alliances with political leadership of the day hence we live in a SIPRITUAL BABYLON, both in the continent and disapora.
The robber barons are sponsoring our political leadership and our religious leadership in turn are publicly blessing these corporate annointed leadership through Nobel Peace Prizes and we wonder why Africa and her Black Diapsora are visited with bloody "black on black violence"- the DR Congo, Zimbabwe, South Africa, ( nation-states) andChicago, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Atalnta, New Orleans (Katrina) inner-urban cities!
We have the religious "BLING-BLING" in mega churches wherein there is no DIFFERENCE between Secular Entertainment-REligious Worship in terms of CELENRITY GLORIFICATION!
