NEW PANTHERS RAISE BLACK NAT’L LIBERATION FLAG IN NJ’S CAPITAL

TO LAUNCH BLACK HISTORY MONTH

FOR 10^TH STRAIGHT YEAR!

Today, February 1^st, the New Black Panther Party’s Trenton chapter will hoist the Universal African Liberation flag at Trenton City Hall to mark the beginning of Afrikan Heritage Month, more commonly referred to as Black History Month.

The flag raising ceremony will take place at 12 noon.

          Trenton City is located on East State Street.

          This ceremony marks the 10^th straight year that the New Black Panther Party, under the leadership of Trenton native Divine Allah,  has ushered in the AfricanAmerican’s community period of critical reflection.

          “Just goes to show how consistent the good works are,” said Zayid Muhammad, the Party’s longtime national minister of culture.

“It absolutely also demonstrates  how consistent our national youth minister Divine Allah has been in his good work, something we are proud of in our Party,” he finished emphatically.

NEW PANTHERS, NAVC RALLY COMMUNITY

AGAINST SCHOOLBUS SHOOTING OUTRAGE!

On Wednesday, February 2^nd, the Newark Antiviolence Coalition, which includes the Newark chapter of the New Black Panther Party, will rally at the intersection of Irvine Turner Blvd and Court Street to condemn the recent shooting at that site between warring gang factions that hit a school bus in the crossfire!

          The rally will take place at 5pm.

          “And people wonder why we are out in the streets every week,” Muhammad said angrily about the weekly rallies.

 “We wonder why more people are not out in the streets. If our youth do not see their elders doing whatever is necessary to insure their safety and their future, then they are simply not likely to care,” he continued.

“We care and we will continue show it boldly until it makes the necessary difference.”

The Newark Antiviolence Coalition has been taking over city streets almost every week in the city of Newark since the outrageous killing of Nakeisha Allen, a single mom who was slain senselessly on July 20, 2009.

PANTHER TRADITION HONORS FALLEN WARRIOR

On Friday, February 4^th, Panthers and supporters from all quarters will say farewell to Henry ‘ShaSha’ Brown who served in the Black Panther Party and in the Black Liberation Army.

          The funeral will take place at The House of the Lord Church at 415 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn at 6pm. 

          Brown had been valiantly battling a serious illness for several years. He tragically lost his wife just a few months ago.
