Emergency Meeting: Time for Organised Action!

The recent unlawful killing of yet another young Blackman, father of four Mark Duggan (aged 29) and the reported brutal public beating of a 16 year Black girl in Tottenham, North London, sparked the recent ‘Uprisings’ throughout the UK.

But following ballistic tests, commissioned by the Independent Police Complaints Commission, which proved that young Mark did not shoot at the police as they had reported, the media has done a complete whiteout on this vicious slaying of yet another innocent Blackman at the hands of the British police; notably the forth since March 2011.

Instead the British media, backed by politicians, has launched a propaganda offensive, designed to not only demonise, criminalise and pathologise the Black community and culture (especially our youths), but to incite racial hatred and violence, from both the white and Asian communities – besides being a deliberate distraction from the real issues. Hence, BBC’s evocation of Enoch Powell’s nasty ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech, via an inept celebrity.

Moreover, the racialised characterisation of the uprisings as “Prompted by opportunistic criminal intent,” and “Motivated by sheer greed and anarchy”, seem systematically contrived to amplify and justify a clarion call for tougher laws, more brutal policing and military intervention to neutralise this presumed Black menace to the good British Society.

In context, when Prime Minister David Cameron publicly labels certain “pockets” of society as SICK,” calling on the rest of the nation to unite against them and we see fascist groups responding by taking to the streets to expressly, “Take back our country,” we should read between the lines and, as old-time people say: “Take sleep and mark death!”

Indeed, it is now open season on Black youths, thousands of whom have been arrested, jailed and charged and thousands more harassed and brutalised on the streets by the police: Who is monitoring their wellbeing? What kind of legal support are they receiving, if any?

When our children and young people are under attack, it constitutes an acute national crisis. It is our duty therefore to respond quickly and decisively, in an organised and strategic manner, especially in this season of Mosiah (celebration of Papa Marcus Garvey’s life and legacy). It is for this reason that this ‘EMERGENCY MEETING’ has been called.

Every Afrikan (Black) man and woman, nationwide (including community leaders, organisers, activist, professionals, pastors, politicians and celebrities) are urged to attend and to bring along your family, friends, and loved ones. We are particularly keen to have as many lawyers/legal experts, journalist and Radio stations, as possible, present.

Brothers and Sisters, if you love your people and care about the future of our children and young people, you won’t miss this VERY IMPORTANT MEETING, to help organise and determine the way forward, bringing an end to the oppression and degradation that we have been enduring in this country for far too long. In the words of Papa Marcus Mosiah Garvey: “Unite Oganise Now or Perish!!!” “Rise You Mighty People!”
