Who: STOP SHOOTIN MUSIC Inc. a 501c(3) non-profit organization that is geared to reverse the trend of senseless gun violence in the community by advocating peace amongst street organizations and our youth.

Violence is a nationwide Public Health Epidemic that effects our youth and families. We are not only talking about our community, but all communities. We came together as artists and community servants to speak through music to voice our community’s pain. We have become known as the “Hope Boys” which also stands for H.O.P.E. “Helping Our People Evolve”. Unlike the “Coke Boys”, which is self explanatory in their music and message, we show that regardless of your past it should never become your Future.

Stop Shootin’ Music and a large number of grassroots organizations from NY and NJ will be exercising the right to voice our opinions against Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, the rap group known as the Coke Boys, and what they both stand for. This is yet another negative trend that is brainwashing our youth. We ask that the press come out and help us get our message heard loud and clear for not just our community, but for the nation. We can only go as far as we take each other. Please remember people that if we lose one to this trend, this is one too many and if we can voice that, we are a step closer.

On November 26, 2012 NJ supporters of this movement will meet at NEWARK Penn Station in Newark NJ at 1pm sharp, and NY supporters will meet at New York Penn Station at 2:00pm sharp. We ask that we come together and meet no later then 3:00pm at Bad Boy Records at 1710 Broadway, New York, NY. We will also be handing out Hope Boys and Hope Girls shirts to those in attendance.
