In case you missed it, there was some outrageous news yesterday:

J.P. Morgan Chase, who just had the most profitable year in its entire history, admitted to overcharging thousands of active military service members, some of whom were illegally thrown out of their homes due to the error. Read the story here.

Unfortunately, this type of reckless behavior is all too familiar – big banks losing or destroying original mortgage documents, illegally foreclosing on families who owned their property free and clear, and bank collectors breaking into homes they didn't even own.

Chase has admitted guilt, but only under intense scrutiny. That is why the 50-state Attorneys General investigation is so important.

For the first time since the foreclosure crisis began, a nationwide investigation is taking place to shine a spotlight on the banks' reckless behavior. We need to let them know that Americans everywhere are following the investigation closely and want justice.
