Got Debt? How Debt & Finance Shape Black America

How do issues of debt and poverty impact the condition of the Black community? How does access to financial resources (or the lack thereof) shape ability to create the type of community and reality that we desire? Are debt and slavery different?

As the Great Recession rages on, the Black community has been impacted in a number of key ways.  From rising unemployment to continuing under employment, Black people from all walks of life are grappling with the age old question of "how to make a dollar out of fifteen cents."  Join us on Wednesday February 9 as we discuss how today's economy is creating tomorrow's Black community and discuss ways for us to fight back.
