ONA MOVE, Everybody!  For those of you that don't already know, a handful of 10 & 11 year olds voluntarily took on the activity of getting a memorial marker placed at Osage Ave. to commemorate what happened in 1985 and so that people would not forget. Well, they did it, they accomplished their task and did what a lot of adults only talked about.  These students got the letter of approval from the Pennsylvania Memorial and Marker Commission last Monday. They are now raising the $1000.00 for the marker and they get to compose what goes on the marker, with the approval of the commission.

Our conference call is this Sunday, April 9th at  8pm. The call in number is 712 432-0460 and the pin number is 152872.  The next planning meeting is Monday, April 10th from 6pm-8pm at 501 S. 52nd St. in Philadelphia. 

During the call and at the meeting, we need to nail down a set up crew for the 5th and a break down crew for the 7th.  We'll also need a crew to keep check on the hallways and the cafeteria to remove trash as necessary (we'll provide trash bags).

FYI- I am seriously looking for "office space", It doesn't have to be a legitimate "office.  Just a space where we can set up and organize our file and supply cabinets, a desk and maybe meet from time to time to do interviews. We can pay a modest rent but we are not rich. Let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions.

There will be a screening of a MOVE film at the A-Space (4722 Baltimore Ave. in Philadelphia) on Saturday, April 8th from 4-8pm. See attached flyer.

Finally, Any vendors that have not sent your vending fee and have not contacted me can lose your vending spot.  As I said earlier, I have to order and pay for the tables and chairs so I need an accurate count and the funds to pay for them.
