At Sunday s Stop Mass Incarceration Network and #ShutDownA14 planning meeting, NYC steering committee member Travis Morales laid out the continuing and brutal reality of the relentless police murders of Black and Latino people.   These murders concentrate the escalating genocidal program of rampaging murders by police along with the continuing mass incarceration and criminalization of Black and Latino communities.   THIS MUST STOP!

In the past week and half, three unarmed Black men murder in Madison, Wisconsin, in Los Angeles, and in the Atlanta area were gunned down by police.   In New York, just a few days ago, a retired NYC corrections officer executed an unarmed man in a Brooklyn subway station.  And a month ago, an unarmed Mexican immigrant, Antonio Zambrano-Montes, was shot down by police with his HANDS UP! in Paso, Washington.   This must STOP now!   The call for #ShutDownA14 is urgently needed and a challenge to everyone that wants these murders to stop.
